GF TAB suggestion

NOTICE: not good in english, I know.

The GF class is about protecting the other players.
Currently, who is able to effectively greatly reduce the damage player take and generate huge amount of threat?
The GF.. no, the cleric. No wonder so many groups will take a second cleric instead of a GF they just do the GF job better than a GF.

My suggestion: Replace the GF TAB skill with something a little like "astra shield aura" ( aura = it follows the GF ) without the healing portion. Replace the healing portion by a threat transfer. Anyone standing in the zone will transfer x% of the threat they generate to the GF. That way the GF can hold aggro but most importantly, they can actually protect others. Some people will say that is too similar to "Knight Valor" a agree but I dont like knight valor because the Rogue is just staying in the fire and kills you and not getting out because... well he does not have to, he aint taking damage.

Also, that would make our TAB ability usefull in PVP, currently it is not.

On an other subject, if the GF blocks a AOE cone attack from a mob, it should not damage the other players behind him. That way I can protect other player from these.

There is a lot of room for fine tuning, the x% damage mitigated, the x% threat transfer, the cooldown, the size of the zone, how long it last...etc...

    Guardians are broken! I use all my threat , mark targets left and right and nothing, all the aggro goes to the cleric. I spam every chance its off cooldown and all the threat still goes to the cleric. I'm just going to delete my guardian, there's no point the class is useless. On top of that the only other ones who have aggro are the companion tanks.

    Good suggestion...... They just need to be useful in high lvl parties. They are already awesome to lvl up and solo with. Unfortunately at this time a large percentage of GWFs and GFs are not allowed to participate in end game content.

    I agree but I prefer to be on the optimistic/constructive side and try to bring solutions to the table.
    I do think main problem is that the cleric are better at the GF job and they can heal on top of that.

    There are tons of threads on GF problems, I thought comming with a solution was a better way.
    All the *good* GF I see are just speccing as dps and well Rogue and CW are better at it and the CW will control at the same time, again CW are more usefull at protecting the party than the GF.

    An other solution could be to turn a GF into a disabling machine but I think the CW is already very good at it and that PVP is already too full of CC.

    Maybe the solution is just plain to remove the astral shield from the cleric and give it to the GF. That way you need a GF and a cleric in the party. Not the best solution but still open for discussion.
    I still prefer my original suggestion.

    Indeed, I wish there was a way to make sure the DEV's see the suggestions.
