My name is Alexander Smythe.
I decided to play NW about 1 week ago since, let's face it, WoW is utter BS now. Blizz have basically put it on life support. I'm 22 and go to University, majoring in Naval Navigation. It's not really hard. I have a bunch of free time.
So far, this game's been funner then I imagined it would be when I watched the trailer.
Unfortunately, I'm mostly PvP-oriented, and the PvP is currently, well..
Note the silver lining. So much potential for PvP in this game, but it's still currently just a plain mound of turds.
Ignoring the overwhelming presence of Control Wizards and Trickster Rogues, which pretty much just SCREAMS where the problem in PvP lies, I'm managing more or less in the 30-39 tier with my cleric.
...barely.
I'd really like to get to know the community a little better, so I'll lurk around the forums every now and then.
As for ingame, I guess I should ask, I'm considering making a Guardian Fighter as a PvPvE alt. I read that guardians can really dish it out and take it at the same time, while still being able to tank well in dungeons and so on.
Now, it doesn't matter how many ******* videos or posts I see reaffirming this, until I experience it first hand, I'm skeptical. An opinion on the matter of Guardian Fighter PvP and PvE viabiliy and potential would be nice to see, though.

Kidding aside, look up dead reckoning with error correction to get an idea. And submarine navigation is extremely complicated.
Actually, ship navigation is relatively easy to do, and you get to boss people around on your vessel once you rank up to about 2nd Officer.
