I recently scored an Ioun Stone of Might and have enjoyed it for the most part, but i have some confusion as to its behavior and weather or not some of its actions are by design, as they seem to go against some info ive seen on the web/forums. I find it strange that when in combat my stone becomes an "invisible person" with a blue companion ring on the ground trailing behind or near me. That would be fine, but thats where the confusion begins. During this time, i get no companion mini-portrait next to mine, like my other pets. Also during this time, im unable to target the stone, as im able to target other pets. This is also where i see some contradictory information about augment pets, as my stone seems to take damage and die while ive been leveling it. This gets mildly annoying as it dosent auto resummon after combat ends, again like my other pets will do and sense i cant target it, i have to open my character sheet and resummon from the companions tab. I also see no death or damage information in the logs other than the notice that it has died. Just looking for any feedback on this from users or mod, not sure if mods reply here thought.
I know theres lots of other pressing matters, like my shield, but I sure would love to hear more about this.

I don't have an Ioun Stone or Cat or other 'passive' boosting-pet... but I SEEM to recall reading that someone said their passive Companion took trap damage... and maybe they also take AoE damage (not specifically targeted to them but they're in the area). I would THINK that this would be a bug, if it's the case.

Thanks for the reports. I started to notice it when i was fighting Driders (Spider Drow guys) and Ilithid Masterminds. I just wish it would pop back up after combat, like my other companions or just stay put around my head, or in the case of the cat, behind me.

They need to make them invul, like it was meant to be.
