ive tried to get ahold of Tailors ingame to see if they are having the same issue, but noone answers lol,
Anyway, im upgrading to try to get GM Tailor, but for some reason instead of upgrading to "Tailor" im not only able to make "Assistant Tailors" and due to this i can no longer upgrade past outfitter...ie i can no longer upgrade to "Tailors" only "Assistant Tailors" which dont upgrade into ANYTHING. ive made 2 of these "assistants" before i realized they werent even upgradeable, and as they take 18 hours each to upgrade...and at that point its 18 hoursx8 total...so by making 2 of these "assistant tailors" ive lost a total of 16 seperate 18 hour upgrades.
So 1)i need these stupid Assistant tailors turned into Tailors like they SHOULD be and 2) i need to be able to upgrade to tailors as well instead of assistants lol.

I suspect that the only way to get Tailors (or higher) is to get them from the purchased (or won) Professions Packs. The Assistant Tailors can craft anything the others can, I think --- just takes longer. You MIGHT be able to get non-white-quality profession assets from the Celestial Coins (stack to 7, one coin per day, costs 5 for the profession pack).
basically the Common Assets cannot be upgraded to any Uncommon or higher Asset. Common Assets will stay Common. Uncommon Assets can be upgraded to Epic Assets.
Open the Launcher. Click Options near the top. Check Disable on-demand patching. This will download another couple of gigs.

This is answered very well on the official wiki.
