So I'm a GWF, 10.4k gearscore, pretty junk build that I didn't even research but I can still do just fine in high end dungeons.

I'm just curious what's the GWF's role is at high end? I get kicked out of every single PUG for Castle Never. I really want to do it but it's always auto kick. Would explaining that I have a DPS build prevent that?

    Nope.
It's more like people like the easy way and GWF doesn't help that much in Castle Never.
Should have rolled CR or CW or DC.

Yeah I'm kind of regretting not rolling a cleric. Oh well. Will wait for the next class release, and wait for my friends to get 60 so can finally do CN.

GWF still awesome in PVP though!

Find a team to always go with. use some voice communications to make the game x1000 easier. And i prefer the GWF's high AoE (depends on the build ofc)

Right now with healer aggro totally broken and the ability to dodge bosses special attacks, tanks and tanky DPS have effectively been rendered worthless. (And that's not even getting into the recent "hotfixing" of the GF guard mechanism.....)

Add to this the fact that TRs provide much more single target DPS (aka kill boss asap) while CW offer just as good AOE DPS and additional control abilities compared to a GWF, and it is easy to see why GWFs (and GFs) are unwanted.

    :(

ya i got my gwf up to 10k Gear Score. maybe 2 weeks ago doing some T2 wasn't bad at all, and now i get auto kicked from every group. So i leveled a TR and a CW waiting for my friends to all get 60 to farm as a group.

i farm my alt's pvp sets tho with my gwf. its just to fun playing 1 in pvp.

Who doesn't want GWF in a group that can increase damage of everyone by 25%?

It's a real shame, what server are you on? I ALWAYS search for GWF, I think they are valueable for certain tasks and with their sprint ability very useful to me as a mage.

if you are on dragon hit me up, @llantiss

Unfortunately wiz can do more aoe damage in castle never, this is due to the more mobs a gwf hits the less damage each mob hit takes after first target. Meanwhile im pretty sure CW does full damage on all aoe's.

Yep, gwf is useless in castle never except as a dedicated rezzer and debuffer:P.

Unless they spec into Group Assault, which actually increases their damage by 5% on their main AoE At-Will for each target hit, which really stacks up.

No, i have group assault. The dropoff is far higher than anything the trait counters/ or wicked strike has a maximum target count which im not sure about.

Likely because the dropoff is calculated after the +5% per target.

Notice this is only in castle never ive experienced this big a dropoff, im assuming its because mob packs are very big.

According to this thread Wicked Strikes dropoff is pretty massive and group assault doesn't come anywhere close to negating it.
