Patch Notes NW.1.20130416a.23 Combat
Fixed an issue where the Guardian Fighter was able to do significantly more damage than was intended. PvP
Players will now be removed from PvP for being AFK. Mail
Fixed an issue where mail appeared to duplicate itself when other mail was deleted.
incase anyone doesn't get the picture, this is the whole opposing team afk, this is their side of spawn lol.
Common sense is hard to come by around here it seems..
This is a lot smarter than using the bot report feature which bots could just abuse to get regular players banned. The devs made a much smarter choice than those idiots at Arenanet did with GW2.

Well- Ive been on that side of the coin and we werent afk. So I feel the opposing team shouldnt be allowed to spawn camp. I do feel that some kind of timer should be implimented if there is no "damage/healing" the team is forefit and gets NO rewards and the winning team only gets half glory for no challenge.

Seems like the only way to fix this is to give negative glory of about double what you would have earned if you played. Outlier detection wouldn't be that hard to stop people from dying once and then afking.
I've been falsely accused of afk pvp and I have never afked a pvp match. Here is what happened from my point of view.
I zone into a match only to see people dropping out almost as fast as they are zoning in. I see that the match has been running a while before I got connected to it. I push the X button and pull up the list of players only to see the blue team has two dozen names while the red team five. I decide I'll stick it out and have a little fun, I like a challenge and I have learned more about my character facing odds of a gank squad then doing 1v1s. So let's have some fun even though I know there is no chance at winning right? Well finally the server stops adding players to my team, there is just me and one other player, who like me is up for a challenge. We head out scouting for enemys to pick off or a small group of them to ambush, when the zone chat is blowing up with "I screen shoted you afkers and will report you."
So I start responding in zone chat that I'm not an afker despite the idiot on the other end insisting that I am even though I am responding to his nonsense. Now I am not concerned about this but really, would the developers take the word of some player taking a screen shot of a player list and punish those on the list? A screen shot says nothing about what those players were actually doing during the match.
Not only that but there have been times when I zoned into a pvp match only to get kicked 5 seconds later because the server thinks I am afking, but I just zoned and get the message, it is out of my control. It doesn't even matter how far I move once the notice pops up, I still get kicked from the match.
Thanks to PvP AFKers in opposite team, some matches are an easy 1000-0. When I'm leader and I see a party member in my team not moving before the match start, I kick him fast (so dungeon finder can find a replacement). If I'm not leader and leader does not kick AFK members, I leave or I try to do my best.

The easiest way to afk still in pvp is set your toon to auto run against a corner in your spawn zone. The game still thinks you're playing
Only two things in this life are infinite. The universe and human stupidity, and I'm not so sure about the former. ~ Albert Einstein
Tried some PvP last night the only real players were me and some GWF called Toothpick on the other team we had a little fight going on but all the rest were AFKers :<
Right, as if this is gonna stop AFK PVP ****heads.. It will stop the idiots that sit AFK in the spawning area, but not the HAMSTER that use bots to move, but not get AFK...

You're very naive...maybe the loading screen took too long for you or the leader kicked you out.
