I have checked on the wiki and there are only about 4 quests in this 'zone'. One missing, Reclamation, (total 5 quests, 6 if you count the one that you get from a drop) which requires you slay The Scalefather, is giving me no end of grief atm, but I cannot find quests from other NPCs. I already do a bit of PVP as well as the foundry quests when time permits, but thinking there is something I have missed in this area compared to other zones.
Do I have to complete Reclamation before other quests will be given to me? Or are there other places in this zone to get quests from? (And I have checked most of the area contained on the map or at least I think I have.)
Hi I cannot remember specific quests but I do know (they way its been since the start).
Finish the quests for that zone /map you currently have and you willl be given more or told to go speak to sombody on the map you haven't been to yet. Also if there is a big chunk of the map when you press "m" that you haven't been to yet there is a fair bet there is more to do.

Yes, you do need to kill Scalefather in order to progress. You are less than halfway through the zone.

Thanks centrific..... I figured that was the case (that being I was less than halfway through) but on reading another thread asking for tips in killing him seemed in indicate ignoring that quest as the scalefather was too tough?!? I tried twice when level 42/43 but my little dwarven legs could get me away from him or the adds. Me thinks I need to find help. Thanks again.
It's like that in every area of the game....what made you suddenly think this is different?
You have a pool of 3-4 quests that you need to finish before progressing to get other quests

At level 49 the Reclamation quest is still impossible to do with a character and a max level follower. It needs to be re-designed or turned into a "group suggested" quest. In order to proceed in the area's quest paths, you will have to team up with at least one other PC to get through this bottle neck.

It's quite possible, you just have to stay away from the Scalefathers big attacks and avoid it when he poisons areas. I managed the quest at 44, although it took me a good 20 or so healing potions.
If this is the boss I'm thinking of, you can kite him back into the previous passage, so when he spawns adds they don't come for you, which helps a little bit.

Might wanna read the patch notes. Im pretty sure that option died today.

It's quite possible, once you have mastered the art of dodging, and not standing in red stuff. Done it with three different classes now, solo each time.
It's a bit of a change of pace, this game, if you're used to a more static cooldown and tab target MMO- you need to be a bit more active with your positioning when you fight. However, learning how combat works will stand you in good stead for the harder max-level dungeons, so it's worthwhile.
