So yea...second time now that I've been silenced do to "spamming" when I have not spammed at all. From my understanding if you get 20 reports you will be silenced, and this does not reset daily...only when you've been silenced for 24 hours. What the **** kinda **** is that? First off people report you for many idiotic reason whether being they don't like what you're advertising or selling or if they don't like you period. This is a very foolish tool to leave it up to other people for you to talk...I've even heard of peopl telling their guildes to report people so they can be silenced or "stopped" from selling something over chat which is completely crazy!

Most other games have an automated system set up to where if u repeat somehing over and over in succession many times in a row u are automatically warned or silenced for a short time, and if u continue then maybe you get silenced for an hour or what not.

Please, please, please! Fix this bull****.

I was doing nothing, all I do is put stuff up that I want to trade in chat, in a non spamming way...I never spam. People may get mad if i don't respond to them because they ask "what do you want for that" and if u reply u have to repost your selling items over again which is annoying, but is that a reason to report someone? lmao

So, you admit to reposting your sale items, admit yourself that it is annoying, then you wonder why other people ban you? Because THEY find it annoying as well! Lmao indeed.

Why not answer them in a whisper?

    Not sure if troll...

Here's a for instance for you. Someone has a wts msg selling three different items for enchanted keys with the price they want clearly listed next to the item for sale. It might look something like the following:
    WTS > [Item1] 2 keys, [Item2] 5 keys, [Item3] 3 keys.

To type that message you first have to open your inventory, because if you press enter first no amount of alt or esc or i spamming will get you to a place to open it. Then type 'wts >' then shift click the first item, then press enter again to give the stupid chat window focus again then type your price and repeat. It's moderately painful if you have more than one item at different prices and you want to be efficient with it.

Now, someone whispers you the following:
    "how muhc 4teh boots???"

You could reply to tell the person their an idiot, but in doing so lose the ability to simply press up to continue sending your sales message every so often.

So where is the magical number of 20 coming from far as being the quotient that causes you to get banned. Did someone from PWE or Cryptic state this? Is that even the quota or is it higher? I have seen this thrown around a couple times as being the number without anyone saying where they got it from.

It has been confirmed through player testing for quite some time in Cryptic's second game, Champions Online.
    I'm unhappy and I can't say why.

You know you can press up more than once to scroll through past messages, right? Or have you just not even tried it before running to the forums to complain?

You cannot do this. Or atleast, I can't. pressing up only post your LAST msg only, there is no scrolling...hence why I'm here...

I dunno, maybe you did something in options?

If I see someone put 3+ item links in a single message (effectively filling my entire chat box with item links) I report them.

Some players have started reporting both Trade and LFG messages in the hopes that users will acknowledge and utilize the custom channel system in the game. If you weren't posting too frequently or spamming outside of this, then that might be the reason.

at any rate, there is no fix or way around this - the option for someone to report spam silence someone for 24hrs should be takin out. Like I said before, friends and even people within larger guilds can easily have people blocked for 24 hours just for something as simple as someone selling something too low on LFG that will **** up their posting prices in the AH. Please just make it automated like most games do for someone actually spamming something too frequently within like 5 or 10 seconds. Or even make it so u can only type so many msgs per minute or something like Tera did. Such an easy fix to this...

Lol my buddy was silenced just now for looking for a group, although I can't say what he was doing to receive his prior spam reports, I can say that this time i set there and watched him post non spamming text. You ppl that report just for the hell of it are extreme HAMSTER more then likely with no friends/life...just sayin.
