Ok I'm 60 and bored...

I did my daily PvP matches. I have all that gear. I have no need to put more effort into something w/o a interest/reward. The Epic dungeons for me are very long and tedious. There doesnt seem to be a "saving" spot when fighting a boss that has about 10 other "wave" bosses with 20 adds each . So, We did that a couple hours and now I've lost interest there. Although it would be nice that once you have defeated a set "wave" of the bosses and wipe that you start back up on your curret wave rather than redo it all.(if it already does this I couldnt tell- these dungeons are just too **** long) Gold is worth nothing other than buying potions.

If I am to do "foundry's" aside from my AD quest I feel it would be nice for the currency to be AD drop for people or items that u can hand in instead of ROG gear and gold @ lvl 60 otherwise the game is stagnant and boring at that point.

This is from the perspective of a cleric that has a family and a limited play time.

And this is what happens when level progression is too fast and vast majority of gear BoE.

If leveling is slower there would be many, many more people -myself NOT included- that complain about having to grind xp and how sluggish the game is. The instant-end game rush, then ensuing boredom that grows with dungeon grinding is a big part of current games.

ya , too bad this is the only MMO game where the end game boss can be single pulled or exploited. The game got released way to early. Needed at least 6 more months of developing. Oh well, their loss :)

Well- as a solo target cleric I hated leveling. I started ina large guild that ignored everyone that wasnt 60. I left them cause their help was the same as me doing it myself. I dont think the game leveld that fast for me. Raiderz was fast but it was half the lvls of this game. Forsaken World was a grind that I quit on. I feel there is a fine line of leveling and enjoying end game. The end game isnt quite up to par with "entertaining" things to do.

I hated the first experice- why would I want to make another ? The rest of the classes arent interesting. Besides if their going to release more content and more chars I wouldnt want to deadlock my account of trash then have to purchase more room for something "interesting" down the road.

Have you actually tried other classes?

Well that's your problem. You're a Cleric for crying out loud! 2 of the most played classes in this game are the Trickster Rogue and Control Wizard! Why aren't you making one or both? Have you played either class over level 20?

Unless you're like one of my old WoW friends who can only play a Resto Druid, Discipline Priest and Holy Paladin cause she can't stand playing a tank or DPS and only enjoys healing, then how can you not enjoy the other classes?

Did you really level up your DC in groups and all you ever did was heal? Cause if no, and you did level up by damaging mobs and attacking stuff to progress, then how can you possibly hate the 2 best DPS classes in the game where you will cruise through 60 levels 3 to 5 times faster than your Cleric did?

I hate not being able to heal myself. So once I switch to any other class in a MMO it isnt a fun thing for me. I went thru my DPS phase of games years ago. No, I didnt do groups. I solo'd. I didnt start on groups til 60. I believe you but more chars in a FTP means more money invested. I dont want to "invest" in anything else atm. I did that with Forsaken World and it got costly quick and I stayed there maybe 2 months. So "digging" in on a FTP has to have some restraint and entertainment. I sound like your healer friend from WOW. Any mmo I play; I go for the healer and then judge. I'm happy that your entertained with other classes but I was a 3rd Ed AD&D player and what little they offered wasn't interesting to me. I'm in limbo that they release more classes or something worth my time to do end game to use my gold on.

Couldn't have said this better. Its still in open beta too, if you jump up the ranks that's what happens. Only thing else is make another toon and level them up.

I remember it would take you at least 3 weeks to level a toon to 50, let alone 60. Then take another 6 to 8 months of getting gear.

Now a days you can level 60 in less than a week, and pretty much be geared with T2 armor in another week. Everything is all but handed to you on a silver platter, and if you want it faster or more stuff, you spend the bucks its yours.

Its difficult to find a game that has some meaningful accomplishments that actually takes time. This game you Sneeze and you're level 20.

well you do get the cleric as a companion, that takes care of healing yourself.

If you dont try the TR or CW your doing yourself an injustice, because its fun!

I agree the leveling in this game is insane, easy and way to fast. True DnD would take like months of playing just to get to lv 10, here you can do it in just over an hour, I think in 3 solid days of playing I hit lvl 47 on my CW, then deleted it due to feats being to expensive to respect. Another aspect of the game that needs to change.

True DnD might take more time to get to level 10, but level 20 is considered an epic hero... level 60 youd be almost a god.

I personally dont level quickly, I enjoy the ride the different classes. Every single mmo Ive played someone said I reached this level and im bored lol. I could make suggestions but youll probably disregard them.

No worries - Rift becomes F2P in 2 weeks. Dungeons there are *much* better.

So.. been 60 for a bit now and to be perfectly frank I need AA's.

For those unfamiliar with the term AA stands for Alternate Advancement. My suggestion would be to implement a system so that XP does not suddenly become completely pointless once you hit level 60.

The system I would go with would be something along the lines of 10 full bars of level 60xp = 10 in any one stat (defense, power, regen, lifesteal.. etc). Not percentage base, just 10 points in the stat. The next time you wanted to raise that same stat it would be twice as much. So 20 full bars of xp, then 40, then 80 then 160 etc. Each time increasing the stat by only 10.

If they wanted some way to disable it in pvp they could always make a debuff in pvp which removes the bonus stats from AAs.

It gives a reason to play the same character... forever pretty much.

At the same time, it lets us feel a sense of accomplishment regardless of what gear dropped or what we already have. The amount of time involved to see a truly noticeable change would be significant, and yet to most of us it would still give a rewarding feeling for getting xp.

At the moment that feeling isn't there, it is simply not that difficult to fully max out a character in BiS gear. Then what? reroll? quit? log in once a day for coins and maybe a daily?

I blame the community for this pretty much not cryptic.
It was the community that decided to abuse the gift foundry was to reach lvl 60 in 1 hour.
It was the community that decided to abuse exploits to simplefy boss fights flooding the market with "epic" gear at week 2...

Cryptic cant really counter that in such a short timeframe. I imagine they invisioned a much longer grind for the initial content, but because of some asshats that want everything now now now, abusing the mechanics/exploits that arent finetuned yet, and this is what u get.

Full godly gear for a few 100k AD, 0 investment to grind it, 0 investment in developing ure character, entire BiS character that means nothing to u. Enjoy?

Maybe u should try what i do OP, create 2 characters and level them at the same time switching between them to alternate playstyle/experience of the game, and obviuesly, dont use AH since it wil only nullefy the joy u would get from looking at ure character.
