History Lessons Bugged!

This quest is either bugged or I simply cannot find the last page. I have 7/8 pages, I've been combing over the entire instance (which is not that big) and I've been through the tomb as well. No page. Where the hell is it? Anyone know? Or is this yet another bugged quest? And obviously I must have to complete this quest to get the next set because no one is offering me new quests...

...and oh yeah, I can't even LEAVE Neverdeath Graveyard to go to Protector's Enclave because the gates are not clickable for me, they don't work. I'm assuming this is non-quest related because if it was, that'd be really stupid for it to not let you leave an area until you did certain quests right?

Unfortunately for you, it isn't bugged. Just a case of look harder!

They usually follow pretty close to the trail. Good luck.

I'm having the same issue, And there is no trail besides the one that leads me to the short area before the instance... Im pretty sure 'MY' 8th page is outside someplace. but there is no guiding light trail... nor is there sparkles on the item to interface with, as far as i know..

Have the exact same problem. Am i just blind or is this thing really bugged

edit- abandoned the quest and picked it back up, seems to work. Hope this works for other people.

Just zone out/zone back in. It worked for me.

ok, I have a problem with the pages also..... I was gathering up the pages, then my qeue for a skirmish popped... when I got back, it didn't coun't any of the pages (7/8) that I already had, it reset the whole instance.... now I like xp and treasure as much as the next guy, but really don't want to have to redo it every time the qeue pops....

edited to say I can't discard the ones I have either..... lol. Gonna finish quest and hope everything works out.

My quest is still bugged , I'v tryd evrything so far , delete the quest and get it back , also did the quest 5 times already and i never find that **** last page... i have 5 pages before i go to the part where i need the key for , from there on i only find 2. I assume i should get 1 from the final room but there is no page anywhere?! Now i'm stuck in my Questchain.

If you enter the Artisan's Tomb before collecting all pages, you will not be able to pick up the book. Abandon your quest and relog then pick up the quest and before make sure you ended all quest of that zone.

You don't need to abandon the quest if enter the Artisan's Tomb without all the pages. Just exit the tomb and search some more. I know I walked right past one of the pages twice before finding it. It was in some tall grass by the tomb, the grass was hiding the highlights. Once I found it all worked well.

yeah this quest is bugged!! for those who say its not ur crazy because this is the only quest I had a problem like this with and the zone is not that big so there is no way we would all be missing this same dumb page!! I just reset/reclogged so....fingers crossed....

I believe this is bugged as well.
I got the quest, wnet in and found 7/8 pages. Looked around for half an hour and could not find the 8th.
Got out, got back in, and -although I had 7 pages in my bags- the quest reset to 0/8. Mobs respawned and pages as well. Picked one up, but the quest reported 1/8.

Got out, dropped quest (pages got removed from bags at this point). Went back to campfire to re-pick it up.
Went back in, mobs respawned, quest read 0/8. This time I found all 8 pages.

1 is in front of you as you enter, 4 on the left-hand side path, and the remaining 3 along the path to the right. I truly believe the last one (the closest to the entrance to the tomb, along the right-hand side path) did not spawn/activate the first time through for me, since I had no problem "finding" it the second time through. Bug reported via in-game. HTH

I've the same problem.. tried several times, relogging, abandon quest, changing istances etc.. Mobs respawn but i can't recover the pages.. They don't blight and i can't interact with 'em. I'm at 0/8 and can't do anything..
Any help pls?

Edit. I complete the same quest with another character 2 days ago. So it's not about i can't find the last page or don't know what to do. Simply can't interact with any page on the ground, like if i just got it. But i hadn't (0/8 and any pages in inventory)

This quest is indeed bugged. If you abandon it after picking up any of the pages it deletes the ones you picked up and when you go back in you can't pick up any of the pages you had picked up previously. The the glowy, interact thing that lets you press 'F' on objects doesn't appear. However, you can pick up any pages that you hadn't picked up before abandoning the quest; not that it matters, as you'll never be able to get all eight.

Abandoning the quest, changing instances, and exiting the game don't help. I'm trying to find a group to do it to see if that works, but no luck thus far.

I was busy doing this quest when I was summoned to a dungeon. When I came back, I couldn't pick up the key that opens the gate, because you may only carry one of a unique item. But I cannot open the gate with the key I already have.

So I aborted the mission and tried again, now I can pick up the key and open the gate, but there is no "item fairy dust" on the pages I already picked up. Therefore I can pick up the pages I haven't already picked up, but not the rest. I'm stuck.

Well, I was able to complete the quest. I gave up and watched some TV for an hour or two and when I logged back on I was able to pick up the pages again. I'm not sure if the bug was fixed or if you just have to wait a while.

I abandoned it when I had 7 pages and then ran towards the now open gates to leave. Right there on the ground, in front of the gates is a glowing page. I know I wouldn't have missed that earlier, but I was happy to see it. When I picked it up, the quest was active again and telling me to grab the book.

Turns out I go to turn in this quest and I have to start it over even though I have the book in my inventory lol.

That is confirmed that is how this quest gets bugged. I had 5 pages. I got kicked from the game. After logging back in i was sent outside the instance. Upon entering the instance i see the pages on the floor however i cannot loot them. They are not in the inventory and the page count says 0 out of 8. My first attempt i had not looted all 8. I was able to loot the remaining 3 however obviously 3/8 so i was not able to complete the quest. Then i dropped and restarted the quest and now i cannot loot any pages at all.

I have tried logging out and in, i've tried switching the instance, i've tried dropping and taking the quest again, i've tried dropping the quest, logging out and waiting a while and then retaking the quest.. no luck, the pages will not reset. There is no glowing on top of them. So now what?

It's a shame to see that this quest has been bugged for months now.

I also have a problem with this quest. While exploring the area, the Gnolls on the other side of the locked gate "spotted" me, and while attacking them I ended up on the other side of the gate before picking up the required key. I was expecting that that this would cause an issue, but I couldn't get back to the other side and logging out still left me in the same position. I thought exploring a little further wouldn't hurt, and I ended up picking three of pages. With all the mobs killed, and nowhere else to go I used a teleport scroll. When I reentered the area I was only able to pick up the scrolls I hadn't picked up before. So it showed 8 scrolls in my inventory, but only 5 in the quest log, and I couldn't discard them. I tried abandoning the quest, which got rid of the scrolls in my inventory, but I still can't pick up the scrolls on the floor.

Edit: I managed to complete the quest. It could have been because I quit the quest and then completely quit the game, or because I did another unrelated quest.

Alright i am now done with the quest. You can see my bug report few posts up. Here is how i fixed it. Dropped the quest, went to bed. Since then its been about 8 hours. I logged in took the quest, went to the tumb. All the pages are there, i can pick up everything. Since this quest is buggy, First go straight to the key. Once you pick up the key ensure you get all 8 pages before going into wooden door building. All the pages are in the courtyard.

I've tried everything. At first I could only find 7 pages. Exited the zone, re-entered, the count was reset and I could only find one page which sure as heck wasn't there before, so 1/8. Dropped the quest, restarted it, now the pages are there but none of them can be looted. Dropped the quest, exited the game, re-entered, re-started the quest, and again I can't pick up any page. Once I get over being so frustrated with this, I'll do a different quest, then try to take the quest again... All of you, make sure to report this bug in the Bug Report forum. They should have really seen to it by now.

Dropped the quest, exited game, returned today, completed different quest (even a small one like "go talk to X at Y" for 200 xp), then returned to the scholar and reactivated History Lessons, and all worked fine. Found all the pages, then the book. It's a really annoying bug, but try doing what I did if it happens to you.

Still bugged... and we're nearing live launch. Freaking 7/8 pages. They finally noticed the invisible wall bug in the "The Undead and the Dying" quest, but still have to acknowledge this one.

This quest is still bugged. I just took it. I have 7/8 and no more. I zoned in and out. o fix. Time to drop it.
