I created a Google account/email address specifically for this game and I've used it for no other purpose than to play Neverwinter.
Since then I'm receiving a constant barrage of spam that thankfully Google picks up. Thanks for selling my details to a third party marketing company and I'm sure glad that I never got around to waste my hard earned cash in your zen store.
Then you shouldn't have signed up for all those free zen/peanut labs offers.
I used an email I use fairly often for gaming, have received absolutely none (ZERO) spam messages since I've been signed up. Pretty sure you are just mad about something else and trying to act out any way you can.
They just have them there so people can't say it's p2w. You can sit there for hours doing surveys and have the same stuff someone who pumps 5$ of zen into his account can have in 2 minutes. Either way its garbage for your computer and people who are semi-aware of internet security wouldn't do them.
I'm just telling the OP: Cryptic isn't farming e-mail addresses to sell them to third parties. He can take his tinfoil hat off, anytime.
If you make a new Gmail account and use it for nothing at all, you get the spam as well. I tested this some time ago when I had a similar concern about a different company. I was amazed how much spam I got on a completely unused address.
As a clarification I have signed up for nothing...
Yeah, you are right. Perfect World, without counting their subsidaries, has a net worth of over 600 million$, with just under 5000 employees, but yeah, they need to harvest e-mails and sell them to make money.
You are right, the game is just a scam, they just want your email addresses! You have it all figured out elthium61, glad you saved me the hassle of trying out this awesome game!
Shame on you, cryptic!

Leave the kid alone, he forgot his Ritalin this morning, there is no need to treat him like a HAMSTER.....
I have both Google and Hotmail gaming accounts for PWE. With Hotmail, I have received zero spam or Junk. So, either Hotmail pre-filters the alleged "PWE spam" even before it gets to Junk or, far more likely, it is not PWE using your new email address for spam.
Google is an ad-company, probably the world's largest...

You mean the ones PW actively endorse?

Would love to, but for every one PWE hater I try to put in his place for their baseless hatespeech, another 5 pop up. It's a never-ending battle.
