Simple Q about the power and spending points

So, I get the idea of this. You get Magic Missile at Rank I, and can spend a point to increase to Rank II.

Later on, I get to level 20ish, and I'm at the layer that says "20 points needed" or something. So, I have to have already spent 20 points on powers so far to be able to spend one at this layer. I get that.

But.... spending those 20 points... Since I cant unlock anything at Rank III, I'm ending up putting points into powers that I can't use. I've only got 2 encounter power slots, and I've put both of them up to Rank II, but now I have to put points into another one that I have no available slot for.

I'm confused as to why I am having to spend points on things that I cant use - or if I do start using them, I need to switch-out one of my other powers.

Thanks all.

That's the point (and I think the beauty) of this battle system.
Its not just an endless hotbar to press, 1->2->3->4..... while waiting between animations, you have to figure out your strategy of powers to use, and change it up per battle/dungeon whatever to suit the situation best.
Besides, as a CW you have 4 encounter slots, 3 regular ones like all other classes, and a spell master one ("Tab") for the extra effect. So you actually have more encounter spells available to you at any given moment than the other classes

    Hey guys.
Didn't want to create one more topic about power points..
So the question is: how can I reset my Power\Feet points to place them in different way? Unfortunately I cant find it out by myself :(

Each of the two tabs of your character sheet (Powers / Feats) has a Respec button, at the bottom-left corner. The Feats -- and ONLY the Feats -- can be reset by spending Astral Diamonds. If you do not have enough Astral Diamonds (the amount goes up as you gain levels, hovering around 160k ADs at level 60 if I am not mistaken) the button will be grayed out.

The respec button in your Powers tab can only be enabled if you:
    a) have a free respec token (either because you bought one of the Founder's packs or because, later on in the development of the game, you are given one when they release the new Paragon paths or
    b) buy a Respec token from the Zen shop for 600 zen (= approximately $6 in real money or about 250k ADs if you buy your Zen from the Astral Diamond exchange, always depending on the exchange rate of Zen/AD).

If you use the respec button on your Powers tab you will reset most aspects of your character, namely:
    1) Stat points spent at levels 10/20/30/40/50/60,
    2) Powers
    3) Feats

It will NOT reset your starting stats, which will remain as you rolled (well... as you set) them when creating your character.

    D.

    Thanks alot!
    Just one more question.
how long will u farm 250k ADs on 60th lvl, approximately?

PS: yeasterday i respeced my Feets for 14k(25 lvl). It doesnt seem too much for my lvl.
See, i just wanted to understand will it be hard to try builds on lvl60...

    Thanks in advance!

You get a lot of points for powers. I maxed my main powers, maxed a few situational powers, and still had 4 left over to max 2 powers after putting 1 into every power for testing.

Feats are where you should be spending your thoughts as they are the real customization.
