Make disenchanting less than the cost of buying a new rune on the open market

AD sinks are a way to drive the economy forward and generate demand for AD. Currently, disenchanting is prohibitively expensive. Why would I bother disenchanting something if I can buy a new one on the open market for less? 50k to disenchant a rank 5? No thanks. Sure, you might argue that if it's a really good piece of gear then you are paying a premium to be able to recycle the item, but for most high level players this is less of an issue. I think you would see many more people taking advantage of disenchanting if the price to do so was more reasonable. You'd also pull more AD out of the economy than you would via the transaction fee at the auction house.

While, yes, many of the AD "service" costs in the game are way high... (2.8 mil to upgrade your horse to tier 3, but that's 5.6k zen even at 500:1, and you can get an account-wide T3 mount for 3-4k. /facepalm)

...basing this on the market costs doesn't work, because those are made up by the players. Cryptic had no idea what people would sell the runes/enchants for when they set those prices.

You make a good point. I still believe that people would spend more AD on things if it were reasonable.

I loot a brand new weapon and i would like to slot it with the enchantment i had on the previous... You know what happens, that old weapon dusts in the inventory for one-two weeks till i get an even better one and new better enchantment. True story.

Unless you put a Greater Plague Fire enchant in something which is not a weapon from Castle Never, you will probably never disenchant anything ingame.

It's fine the way it is. It's either an enchant sink or an AD sink.
