some minutes ago I made the insanely stupid mistake an deleted a mail with an item attached to it. Bought a couple of items from the AH and somehow, while in the flow, I skipped the "Take all" button and deleted the mail...
My suggestion to prevent this kind of behaviour: Make it so that mails can not be deleted as long as an item is still in it.
I think there is rarely a case where you would want to delete a mail with the item still attached to it, also it would prevent at least a small amount of support tickets regarding this topic.
I also think that this should be pretty easy to implement in terms of programming effort.
I can think of at least one situation in which being able to delete a mail with attachments might actually be beneficial- when you're trying to get rid of an item that you cannot otherwise drop (I'm looking at you, Nightmare Lockboxes...)

This isn't an issue anymore. Nightmare Lockboxes have been changed this week (i think) and can be sold an discarded. I tested it some minutes ago, works fine.

The Nightmare Lockboxes was (no longer is) an example but who is to know somewhere down the line we don't get another undropable item. I would just be happy with an alert message saying you are trying to delete an email with an attached Item, Do you want to continue system.

IMO if you have to take the long way with mails to get rid of an item, then the devs clearly did something wrong and should fix it at source, like they did with the Lockboxes.
