ORCUS UNLEASHED






Quest title: ORCUS UNLEASHED
Author: Nyghoma
In-game handle: @Nyghoma
Starting NPC: Cleric Millian
Quest type: This is a five man skirmish quest. Story and combat driven. Dynamic fights, multiple boss encounters, dazzling atmosphere.
Amount of Combat: Heavy: 50 hard encounters, one map.
Recommended party size: 5 standard, 3 with holy trinity
Average Duration: 20 minutes
Quest Code: NW-DDU6KAENY




SYNOPSIS


The Doomguide's are in desperate need for Heroes! Three infamous liches are preparing to conjure "Orcus, the Demon Prince of the Undead" to Neverwinter! It's up to you and your companions to thwart the ritual and banish Orcus back to the Abyss! Travel to the Mere of Dead Men, and breach the Cradle of Filth to confront hordes of demons and undead!

Tips and Hints:
  • Watch out for traps
  • Be mindful of stealth mobs
  • Fight in an open areas
  • Tanking priorities are key
  • Don't zerg mobs, surgically pull encounters

  • Abyssal Gore Horror
  • Behemoth of Filth
  • Ho'drue, the White Caller
  • Thenosyx the Eternal Flame
  • Nyghorach, the Void Whisperer
  • Orcus, Demon Prince of the Undead

    I didn't like the number of hidden walls. There should be more. But not too many. But just enough. More than you have, but not as many. And the mobs should CC more, even though the CC is too difficult.

    You make almost every other Foundry Quest out there pale in comparison to yours... JUST with that 1 giant skull head entrance made with tons of little bits and pieces from the detail tab in the editor...

    Joking aside, the flow was pretty good. Nice variety of combat and lore, great costumes for the encounters, and excellent use of effects and decor...

    Spelling and grammar is still a bit glitchy with typos here and there, but i skip text anyways, so what do i care?! :P

    Yup. I fixed the typos. Still tweaking the difficulty. I'd really like to see a lvl 60 balance group give me some feedback in that department. This quest is a bit of a departure from my tricky mechanics, although the stealth mobs, CC encounters, and the limited visibility of red splashes should prove to be a worthy adversary for an experienced group.

    I know that Nygoma was upset when he left the game and may have pulled all his content.

    Sadly I believe nyghoma did remove his quests from the public listings a while back. A shame really as he had some awesome quests and I hope one day he will reconsider that decision. :(
