Failed to register with Game Explorer

Having the above issue during installation, which results in a client that won't properly load.

I have tried the install files that the normal downloader downloads, I've gotten the gamershell client, I've nuked the destination directory from orbit, I've attempted to run the installation as an administrator, nothing works. every time, the install proceeds so far, gives the error but gives the "has finished installing" dialogue and prompts me to load the game.

    same problem man :/ It was working a month ago and i havnt played. now it wont connect. Autopatcher being nooby.

    My game client load failed today after I reinstalled my anti-virus and anti-malware programs - one of the programs read Neverwinter.exe as bad and stuck it in the chest, not giving me the option to object other than to report a false pos. which will be analysed by the programmers of whichever anti-malware/anti-virus protection it was.

    Unable to get it back, I opted to uninstall and reinstall, except now, before setup finishes, I get the "Failed to register with Game Explorer" error message.

    And a rainy weekend just started for me. =(
