Why can't I buy nightmare boxes on the AH?

Okay so every time I attempt to buy out one of the boxes I keep getting a "Unable to make purchase. Please try again later"

Any idea?

    Wait... there's actually a market for those things? That's absurd.

    I had that issue last night trying to buy some things.

    Check to make sure the listings don't have a negative time. i.e. -45min etc...

    Both of the ones I couldn't buy were like that. Regularly listed one with correct time worked fine.

    It's because someone has placed a higher proxy bid. Say an item is at $625. I want to place my max bid, say $2,000. It will only show the next bidding increment of $650. You come in and try to bid $675 but it won't let you because my actual bid is higher. Now it bumped me up to $675. You'd have to outbid me, not knowing what my bid actually is, to get the item.

    I've seen them up for 250 boxes for a key sometimes.

    They are garbage.

    They are yes, but its fun unboxing them, I traded my AD for Zen and got 60 keys, payed roughly 2.3m AD for 60 keys, opened the boxes and all the packs I got, ended up making 3.3m selling everything, Opened up 50 now and lost about 200k, nothing big. So I am wanting to do more :D

    People...you can buy a Nightmare Lockbox from the Woundrous Bazaar for 200 AD each. Why would you buy them from the Auction House?

    People trading or selling Nightmare Lockboxes for an Enchanted Key are usually scamming, since an Enchanted Key is usually worth 200-250 Nightmare Lockboxes.

    i had 87 boxes before lvl 20... was my sign that those are worthless

    I would not call them worthless, if anyone has a butt load of AD it may be a wise choice to Trade it for Zen and buy a good chunk of keys, I started off with 2.2m, spent it all on Zen for keys, after unboxing 60 selling it all, and using 750 of the stones to buy the 500k AD mount, I had 3.3m, with around 200k AD worth of stuff still selling. Did another 50 and still in the process of selling it all, but I calculate and I should be at around 3 mill +/-

    All comes down to luck, the Assest / Enchantment packs are very rewarding if you get the wards / epic enchants

    I have not gotten the mount despite opening 110 boxes...but I am going to do 1 last 50 or 60 unboxing when I get the AD and who knows

    You know you can buy nightmare boxes for 200 AD from the wondrous bazaar right next to Rhix.

    And people are selling them on the AH for 75.

    they're however 50-100 AD on the AH, does not hurt to save a little right?
