Personally I would use:
Belt of Giant Strength
This wide belt is made of thick leather and studded with iron. The belt adds to the wearer’s Strength score in the form of an enhancement bonus of +4 or +6.
Gloves of Arrow Snaring
Once snugly worn, these gloves seem to meld with the hands, becoming almost invisible. Twice per day, the wearer can act as if he had the Snatch Arrows feat, even if he does not meet the prerequisites for it. Both gloves must be worn for the magic to be effective. At least one hand must be free to take advantage of the magic.
Helm of Teleportation
A character wearing this device may teleport three times per day, exactly as if he had cast the spell of the same name.
Medallion of Thoughts
This appears to be a normal pendant disk hung from a neck chain. Usually fashioned from bronze, copper, or nickel-silver, the medallion allows the wearer to read the thoughts of others, as with the spell detect thoughts.

Right now the ones that use him seem to be stacking more lifesteal type effects to boost his lifesteal buff which is the only means of healing.
I thought the companion lifesteal stats are just for them. Not the lifesteal power buff they give to me?

It seems for that specific companion since he gives a lifesteal buff that it also effects his buff after testing from some other players. Test this for yourself though to make sure.
It the Acolyte of Kelemvor companion, it's not a stone.
Given that this topic was asking about runestone/enhancements and not items to equip, it's a perfectly valid question: Why is everyone talking about the equipment, and not the runestone/enhancements?
There are runestones that have life-steal on them, problem is that they are for defense slots while this companion only has one of those, the other two being offense. However what to use on those offense slots? Not sure either of her abilities can crit, recovery and power don't seem to affect her abilities either. So what to use on those?
Was it an oversight and should she have 3 defense slots or does indeed some offense stat have a great effect on her abilities?
So far Lifesteal, Regeneration, and Defense, are her only dependable stats. Recovery doesn't seem to effect her, but I picked that for offense slot just in case it does, after all it's hard to see any difference in a 4 second and 7 second ability.
As people mentioned before, she seems to have around 10% damage life steal bonus as base. When I give her 475 life-steal items it bumps the number to around 14-15% so it's not bad. But her AI is program to casting Blessings of Kelemvor (the lame buff that lasts 2 seconds ) first before Kelemvor's Sword, so I usually wait a moment before doing my burst damage.

Training enhancements ftw! At lvl 60 Ill worry on other things:)
But if I were a betting man, I would go with POWER. Test it on some small runes just to see. Then juice her up with the good stuff!
She is greebly enough as a heals and i dish out alot of dmg. She keeps me alive as long as im killing ALOT OF THINGS@! GREEBLE GROBBLE!!!
So far the runestone slots are pretty standard - perhaps those that adds power (empowered runestone) and then eldritch runestone to channel that pitiful amount to the player. Becos of high unbinding costs, i only gave her rank 6 stones. As for items, anything with lifesteal. As a user myself, she is not a good companion for clerics and mages, but invaluable for tanks. I personally prefer regeneration. But virtually, she is one of the better looking companions!
Oh, as for the other ability, prob i didnt feel it much, since she casts her spells intermittently. If all works well, 10% is neat when fighting bosses with thiusands of damage!
Just because she doesn't have recovery doesn't mean she wont benefit from it. Give her recovery, and lots of it. It'll allow her to cast faster which will benefit you since you will be using that lifesteal.

Am I missing something?
Is there one?
This is an open beta. Start treating it like one.
As far as I know life-steal only exists on gear.
Was it an oversight and should she have 3 defense slots or does indeed some offense stat have a great effect on her abilities?
