Bug: Portable Altars not being sold at any NPC vendors.

I am trying to buy Portable Altars, but its not being sold at any NPC vendors.
Is this a bug, or is this item intended to be not sold at NPC vendors ?

    I dont think its a bug, because there is no need to sell them, also if you could buy them the tactical aspect would be lost. you have to plan, also making them buyable would make healing potions be senseless in some situations.
    You also get so many by killing enemies, you cant even use them all, so im selling them when i find them, i keep 5 to myself the rest is always sold, didnt counted them but i think i got about 150 already ;-)
