Simple temporary solution for dungeon exploits. (serious post)

Sorry if this has been suggested already in one form or another but a search found a bunch of clutter.

Now i'm not here to start a discussion about what the dungeon exploits have done to the economy or anything like that, I think there are more than enough threads about it. If it has an effect or it doesn't it isn't intended so I thought of a simple solution in the mean time.

All games have had there exploits in dungeons for purposes like this especially at launch, some more than others, the only difference was that everything that dropped was bound on pickup so it didn't effect the rest of the community very much. I always wondered why everything that dropped (or most of it) was BoP and this game has shown me why.

Now I am all for items being able to be sold on the auction house, it makes pve grinding profitable but I think until all the issues are settled (or at least most of them) all purple items from dungeons should be bound to the player, its a simple fix that I know already exists in the game. This would have three impacts that I can think of.

1.) it would certainly cut down on the over abundance of purple gear on the auction house, buying stuff like that should be used more of a place to fill in gaps that you dont find in your adventures not to completely deck yourself out (which I have done because it was simply so simple and cheap to do, I am 9200 item level without doing much of anything) People shouldn't be able to run around in top level gear without having done much for it and I am just as guilty of this as anyone else. The path of least resistance and all that.

2.) it would make professions more profitable. As it stands the only thing worth selling are shirts and pants, the other epics should be somewhat profitable for adventurers that need to fill in a gap or two because of unlucky drops. There is a reason this system has been in MMOs and that's because it works.

3.) Maybe until you fix the need before greed great weapon fighters will stop rolling need on that amazing caster orb I want, or maybe trickster rogues will stop rolling on your healing gear because they can make a quick 50k AD from it.

Obviously I personally think that it should stay this way, I admit I am bias. I made the mistake of buying some of the best gear in the game and then finding myself not having much to do in end game (That was my fault I admit) at the very least we should do this until all if not most of these exploits have been seen to.

What are your thoughts? please keep this constructive. They aren't going to wipe the servers so lets think outside the box.

So how do you propose people make money?
The drops in dungeons are 90% useless because everyone is going for a very particular set of items. Your proposal creates pretty purple garbage in everyone's inventory.

Obviously its not original, I mentioned every game does it. I see why they do it now, that was the point.

"until all if not most of these exploits" "until all the issues are settled (or at least most of them)" how about taking things into context.

The same way people make money in other games (crafting enchanting materials selling crafting materials playing the auction house and etc). I don't always get what I want when I go to a raid in other games, but thats what keeps me going to them, when I do finally get that super special item of uber it feels awesome.

Unfortunately crafting is largely useless in NWO. There's one shirt you can sell and leadership AD farm.
Getting items that you can neither use nor sell for anything better than 1G is depressing as hell.

Right, the reason they are useless is because of the way things are now. That was my second point. You CAN make purple items but they aren't worth making because of everything being BoE and cheap. If anything maybe making items cost AD to make them BoE or have it where rarely items you find are boe. Or you could make it where only certain items are BoE like rings and offset items, class set items with bonuses should stay BoP and you could still make money selling rings necks offhand items and other things.

As far as getting items that are only worth 1g yeah, one thing that would help with that would be a system to break it down for materials. Maybe breaking down an epic item would give you a small chance at getting a dragon egg, enchanting fragments, or other goodies. Maybe more often than that getting some rough astral diamonds or lesser wards. You could go down the ladder blues can give arcane crystals greens could very rarely give residuum. Old system but tried and true.
