My thoughts and ideas after two weeks of Neverwinter

I love the game, one of the better MMO's I've played recently. I like the combat system, the quests are plenty not making it too big of a grind quest, and I like the skirmishes. All around I would say its quite a good game for beta still.

But what I would like to see;
1. More starting item slots. People agree with me as I've chatted with them. I don't mind buying things, but I feel I shouldn't have to rush buying item slots just to play normally. If you save items then thats on you. At least 16 more slots would be ideal, I think.
2. More bank slots. Also I feel as though you are trying to MAKE me buy item slots. 50 bank slots I think is a good ideal starting number. That would at least offset the starting low pack item number. If you made the starting pack bigger, than I think the bank could be good with like 32 slots starting with. Of course, option to buy more would now be fine with me in my book.
3. Character slots, also need more. You give us 5 classes to choose from at around 5-8 races, but 2 character slots. You can't know if you like a class or not, until around level 10. By that time I've wasted a few hours and it makes me mad. I got lucky and picked 2 classes I like. I still want to try more though, and that means I would have to delete my toon. So why not, give at least 4 slots. Specially with new content coming out soon, more slots would be ideal for those, otherwise a lot of people who won't delete a toon and therefore won't play it.

I understand that Neverwinter is F2P and you need to make money to stay in business with the game up. You have to know though, that making people buy EVERYTHING will drive the game down. I love this game and hope it stays around. I hope to even buy the Founder's pack soon, as that is REALLY pricey. Anyway, if you open your game up just A LITTLE bit, with these three ideas, I feel as though you would IMPROVE the game 10x in my book. These are my ideas and I hope someone from the company reads this, and takes a little consideration of this. Thank you all for reading, and please feel free to tell what you think of my ideas. Just do not start a pointless flaming thread please.

    I agree. Ive also been in the game just about 2 weeks, newly 60. The buy-ins are a bit steep for vital things like bag space and respecs. Even the gifts they gave out, while nice, hog up my last few bank spaces. Im not anti paid services, its just too steep on a up front cost. Even the transmog/transmuting of gear is too costly per item. They would make so much more in the long run nickel and diming the AD off me in item appearances changes versus now, where i cant even consider it due to its price. These little stumbling blocks are rapidly taking the wind out of my sails, even thought im pretty happy with the game itself so far.

    I agree with your assessment of Bank slots. Now being a Hoarder is a "me" problem that I can most certainly live with, what makes it frustrating is that their is no way (unless someone can correct me) to augment that space within the normal game mechanics. Yes I have purchased more slots with Zen (again that is a "me" issue) but if somehow I was able to add more space via a 10 part quest or able to let's say craft a high level item that the "banker" could take as an exchange for more slots? Than I would be happy with it as the game is giving you the chance to do it within it's own mechanics.

    The same for bag space, I think there are only 2 Quests that permit you to get bags as part of the normal evolution of your Toon, I wish there were more.

    Anyhow, most of the space issues is a "me" thing so I would not push it on anyone else plus I have the Zen to purchase it, just wish I could "fight and get rewarded" for it is what I would love.

    I hardly ever play a second toon, so "muling" is not an option for storage in my case.

    See, I don't hoard items, but that is because I can't. I just did a quest, "The Sea Caverns" and has to drop an items to pick up my chest reward. I only had two items when I went in. I truly believe the space is too small for just playing players and not hoarders. I would buy more slots, but currently I am a broke airman with a wife and can't afford a lot of Zen for some small things that would be nice to be included, such as items slots.

    As for muling, I don't mule either. I have my main toon, and then a toon that I only play when I'm playing with my wife. I have a control wizard and a guardian fighter. I want to try Rogue and Cleric, but I'm at that spot of I don't have any free spots and as mentioned earlier can't afford Zen. Even one more character slot would open up a lot of gameplay.

    I recommend you do not make any decisions or form firm opinions on the game until you are 60 for a week, ninj4p3ngu1n.

    The basic but fun for-a-while combat and above average linear questing experience, imo, is by far the best aspect of the game. You may be seeing the game through those rose-tinted glasses.

    I will definately keep that in mind. I will say though, I've played my fair share of MMO's and this by far, even in the 20's, has been better start and more fun to play in the early stages (lower levels) than most other MMO's. A good amount of MMO's become major grind fest at 15-20, so I was glad to see that it isn't as bad as others.
