So I logged in today to PvP as I normally do 20 times a day. Except this time I'm receiving shots that are taking %30 to %40 life each hit. I'm hardly dishing any damage but I can't really tell as I'm getting crushed like I'm not wearing a thing! Normally I'm tops and win but wow was i stinking it up.
I'm level 38 and I'm wearing all Blue lvl 35 gear. Someone tell me that this is a bug?

Never mind about PvP. I'm taking massive damage from NPCs too.
you will routinely be 2 shot at 60 and often it will feel like 1 shot with the rogue daily (although actually, you will already have some health missing, not 100-0). get used to it... also not sure what your spec is but by now you should have access to your Stun breaker = impossbile to catch.
you cant have it all, but trying a more defensive setup will let you live longer but you will need to rely more on your skills, using LOS, dodging, running when its clear you cant win.
A level 31 with lashing blade will crit you for 3,700 but since you are level 38 (even with the best gear you can have at that level) will crit for 1,700.
Once you reach 40 the scaling felt a bit better.

Don't pvp until 60. No reason to, you can't get sub 60 gear from PvP and there is plenty of levelling content in the game that is faster, more fun and less broken.
why everyone with a tr is crying lately???i reached 60 resently and i rolled a gf and a gwf(32-21).well roll one if you feel by any means underpowered and around 20 you will want to return to your TR asap.
Yeh the game changes at end level. CWs currently are the most dangerous class as they can push, CC and deal massive amounts of damage.
You see the forums flooded with QQ but a well played CW / GWF is much more dangerous then your average TR.
My advice would be - look at your skills you have chosen and ask yourself if there is perhaps a change needed.
And yeah the PVP scaling is broken. So just grind it all the way to 60 and grab as many points as you can.
if you cannot be bothered with that and you are on the dragon server, - whisper me in game (Ellz@e11z) and I'll hook you up with the full set of pvp gear for a cheap price
3g per piece.
The Best PVP Guild on Dragon/Neverwinter: YoloOldSkoolSwagLoveNeverGingersLuvDupStep even if it's just one of us, you might as well just afk.
I have to speculate with the OP. I have just recently joined PvP and I've had no issues with class and class balance, although trying to kill a GF is like trying to open a tuna can with a spoon. I usually pop stealth and leave them alone.
Anyways, yesterday in one of the maps, I was having the weirdest issues. I was chasing a cleric and saw 2 of his buddies coming at me. The cleric was almost dead so I chanced it and went after him. HE.WAS.ALMOST.DEAD. I saw them moving and I was attacking and doing damage, and for just one moment, he paused, and then, for one moment I did too...then suddenly, it was like I had lagged and there was a flood of red on my screen and I was dead and the cleric was full life. (IT WAS ONLY A SECOND). I decided to chalk this up to lag and revived.
Then I met a rogue who was cleaving 3/4 of my health WITH ONE HIT. Even at my best (which isn't I *just* started PvP) I can't hit for more than 1.9k, this guy was hitting up to 4k with Lashing Blade. The rest of my team was remarking on the 'incredible' damage output he was doing as well.
Again, I had that SAME lag problem again, and once again I was dead in less than a second with 2 TR's from their team and their cleric, whom I had been chasing *again* back at full health. IN ONE SECOND! The second lag incident was a little too coincidental.
I know that those who run hack programs oftentimes lag out other players due to the program intercepting data or all that other technical jargon I am not really familiar with. All I know is, that match was extremely suspect, as well as that TR's damage. I mean...THAT DAMAGE!!
NOTE: I had no lag, during the match as long as that TR was not around. I had no lag before and after the match. No rubberbanding, no 'stutter' issues whatsoever. It was ALWAYS when that rogue was around and I was a hair's breath from killing their cleric.
I hate crying foul and I hope this kinda details the weirdness of this issue I had last night. I am not calling for rogue nerfs or buffs, or anything of the like. All classes have their weak and high points (clerics just move around too d*** much) and I felt the matches in the 39 bracket were pretty balanced, except that one.
We did lose, but it was a close match 1000 to 910? maybe higher? We were really close. As I said, it just seemed so suspect...

Ive Noticed huge problem with Shield Fighter, I realize that thieves are backstabbers and do large amounts of damage especially from behind, but more than once Ive croaked in PVP im getting smoked from behind in 1 or 2 shots, yet at level 60 my shield fighter does what I will call insignificant damage to pretty much all except other shield fighters, The Casters stomp me also if they hit from behind with one of the nastier spells, I kinda consider the shield fighter to be close to a Paladin , but in comparison Im seeing absolutly no relative closeness to a paladin, I really enjoy this game but it just seems I started playing with great hopes of actually being like Neverwinter with Caster Magic users and all the oldies but goodies, im hoping that one fine day they will actually come up with Massive multiplayer environment and content so blasted close to Original D&D that we all declare that day a National Holiday (LOL)
All classes have weaknesses and strengths I guess Ill just start myself a thief and quit griping :P

The problem is level scaling for pvp is insane.

Just my opinion.
