Why so much spam from people selling stuff?

There is really nothing coded in game that is usable to buy and sell from? I'm not a very experienced mmo player but the last one I played each player could set up his own shop and it was very easy to search what was for sale. Seems either the playerbase is a bunch of idiots or there is nothing that works better than spamming everyone?

    Well there's two reasons:

    1) The Auction House has been offline for the last few days to address a serious exploit within the system.

    2) For some reason even when the AH is up people would rather spam the chat window. Beats me.

There are player created Trade Chats which we hope will take off in time but for now players seem to want to throw everything into Zone Chat. That will hopefully calm down over the course of time. :)

Ah thanks. Ok so I'm not crazy for having that thought at least. Glad to hear it's being worked on.

Auction house's still down and there's no dedicated trade channel.
Just turned on zone chat out of curiosity and I'm surprised people even try to trade stuff. Keys seem to be the new currency.

I find that worrying. Are you relying on players to migrate to custom channels instead of implementing more default chats?
