I know that there were pretty much complaints about adds system while completing dungeons, but I think dear developers should reconsider their opinion about the amount of adds during the fighting with bosses. There is no interesting mechainc at all, just bloody huge amount of adds, spawning all the time. What's the fun? Please, create some more interesting system.

I have to agree with OP. While adds throughout the course of a dungeon have never been an issue as we have progressed, some of the end boss mechanics seem rather bland. Group take care of the adds while I solo the boss (Trickster Rogue). The only change in boss mechanics is what adds spawn and what animations to look for so I know when to roll out of the way. It's gotten to the point in pugs where people just know, rogue, go solo boss, we will handle adds.

I know its early, beta, and we are still testing difficulty of encounters, but I do hope Castle Never at least has some interesting boss mechanics other than I solo while rest of group is on add control. Also, some of the final bosses (Temple of Spider and Frozen Heart come to mind) seem to have way too many adds. We've attempted these bosses umpteen times, geared to the teeth and I've yet to see anyone out damage myself or my fellow wizard friend, and yet we cannot keep down all these adds. People always result to glitching these encounters. Spider you can pull outside of the arena where you are supposed to fight her, and frost giant healer just line-of-sights the adds, gets the aggro, and they all stand there like idiots. Sure they are still tough, bosses can 1 hit if I get sloppy, but we have to result to bugs just to be able to have a chance. In fact in Frozen Heart, pugs just auto-go glitch strategy from the start, no one even attempts it for real.

Anyone have any luck beating epic Temple of Spider or Frozen Heart without glitching it? If so please do share strategy as I would love to know. Maybe we just need to be patient for other guildies to get 60, so we know we got skilled peeps playing.

Anywho, just some feed back, love the game and plan to play as long as yall put out challenging content. We still attempt bosses legit every time (waiting to see if gearing up more helps), but so far some of them seem to need a little bit of tweaking.

    Cheers!

All I know is that any dungeon boss that spawns massive amounts of mindflayers makes me /wrist.

We really need to tone up bosses and tone down adds. The best boss fight is Karrundax IMO. The adds don't have as much CC or hit as hard so are much more manageable.

"Thank god we're finally at the boss, I was sick of all the trash mobs."

    Oh you poor soul.

Spider is very very easy without doing the door glitch, park her next to the sacrificial pit and have CW and Cleric knock the adds into the pits, CW can literally cast singularity on the very edge of the pit to pull adds straight into it. done it pretty much every day on dungeon delve.

Frozen heart is tough without the glitch, but done it with with 2 cleric and 2 cw group before(I completed my first epic FH without knowing the glitch, it was 4am in the morning but somehow we manage to do it after 5 wipes). but clerics can't tank the adds even with 2x astral shield since the adds just doesn't stop coming. basically cleric cw kites the adds around the boss in a circle when I just dps down the boss myself, if you use impossible to catch as one of your skills, you don't even need to dodge the ground aoe, it deals no damage or very little damage to you. also rogue need to be designated resser in that fight.

same thing with dracolich boss in castle never, with impossible to catch, you can tank the ground aoe, you either take 8k(unstealth) or 0 if you are stealthed.

GWFs need to be better able to deal with them and better able to survive them. A tank, even an offtanking class, whose answer to incoming damage and CC is to run away is going to be hard pressed to sustain DPS or hold aggro. This needs looked at.

Could start with removing AS stacking and knockbacks insta-killing stuff.

Maybe knocking stuff into a trap or lava could dmg it or stall it, but not instantly kill it lol.

even in alpha ppl talked about these stupid adds, they did nothing to change, adds are boring annoyance to fights, i want to fight epic boss, not some horde of thrash mobs + an easy boss
