Focused Wizardry Question

I slightly confused by the Focused Wizardry feat.

In game desciption say it increases AoE Damage.
Official Wiki description says it increases damage when AoE is used on a single target only.


Considering the 2 feat that increase AoE damage i begin to wonder which is the true statement? has anyone tested this?

    Not sure. I maxed the feat but don't know the specific dynamics of it.

    As far as i know and tested. All AOE boos modifiers affect the following spells

    Chill Strike on TAB
    Ice Storm
    Steal Time

    And i think 1 more, but forgot which one

    Not really the question i was asking...
    If you check the official wiki it states

    "Focused Wizardry 3 Your area effect powers deal 3/6/9% more damage when they only strike a single target"

    In-game descrition however implies it boost AoE damage, it mention nothing about being exclusive to single targets only.

    So i wondering if something been changed in the past, and maybe tooltip was not updated

    I heard it was changed between closed and open beta, about increasing dmg on just a single target or overall. Im not sure if it actually works as advertised though....

    yea but it not clear which direction it change in, which is why i was hoping somebody with more experience could shed some light on the subject

    I don't think anyone knows for sure
    best you can do I guess is test the issue on the dummies

    well.. if it really says ""Focused Wizardry 3 Your area effect powers deal 3/6/9% more damage when they only strike a single target" .. it just means what it says.. if you use an attack with an areaeffect or an areaspell and you only hit 1 target it will increase that damage.
    Not sure if its either bugged or the description changed.

    Thats what offcial wiki says, not the in game, tho official wiki is generally accurate... ingame is just say it increases AoE damage and don't list specifics, hence why i really not sure :-/
