How does a 7 hour rollback fix anything? The period they cite, i.e. yesterday was during the time the AH was shut down? Am I correct?
Tell you what..I spent about $100 total on this game and I am beginning to regret all my time spent in it.
Whether its the afk'rs ruining PvP or the exploiters....I feel this game is tainted even worse than D3.
When does ESO come out?

It's their estimate of where the worst exploiting happened.

Personally I already wanted a wipe after the first round of exploits but I have come to the conclusion that it's not going to happen.

vinunleaded don't think about it too much. I'm not trying to be condescending.

Just enjoy the game while you can at your own phase, quit with no strings attached when you have killed all the bosses at lvl 60.

    This ship WILL sink.

If it can happen to SWTORtanic it can happen to this little game.

It involves a lot of really complicated technical calibrating of Tappets!.. and stuff.

The rollback period was during the time the exploit was in use, not when the servers were down.

My advice to anyone, play if it is a fun game to you. When you have hit the boredom wall, or have all the BiS gear, or hit max level and see only dungeon grinding in your future, re-assess if you want to stay or not. That is what I am doing.

The 7 hour rollback goes back to before the AH was shut down. Now its obvious the AH exploit was going on before the rollback. But it wasn't then. Any blurps on the economy looked like they were caused from other problems. The people using it before were careful enough not to devalue the currency they were duping. The rollback was to fix some of the most severe damage.

Obviously they left the AH/Exchange closed to give them more time to do things. Fix the bug of course. Assess what impact this will have on the economy. And to track down the original exploiters. Since they didn't destroy the economy the rollback doesn't have to go back that far. But I'm sure it makes tracking them and their alts down like looking for a needle in a haystack.

I don't know if I would have made the same decision as them... but its their game, not mine. And I am sure they are in a better position to know what is best for Neverwinter.

I think it would be better just to ban master accounts. Of course, any dev's who didnt fix all the exploits we found since closed BETA, probably cannot figure out how to trace exploiter AH transactions anyway.
As far as I am concerned, its kind of a fun game...but with only 2 PvP maps....thats fail right there.
I got my lvl 60 complete set of PvP armor last night, but....the AFKrs in PvP have ruined that aspect of the game.
Not sure what I am going to do yet, probably just stick with playing games with RL friends as MMOs are not the same as they were back in 1999-2002.
Back then we rejoiced at seeing so many other players...not those same players are a liability.
They are annoying in chat, exploit the game, get in the way, etc etc.
I have been lucky as an anti-social MMO player...as if I cannot group with RL friends, I dont play.
Playing with strangers is just fail...
Its amazing how I have gotten to the point where the first thing I do when playing a new MMO is turn off all chat except guild and party.
I am not interested in what ANYONE other than my RL friends have to say....and I dont want to see, hear, or interact with anyone else.
This system works great, unless you find yourself in situations where not enough RL friends are online...then you PUG PvP or a dungeon and then remember why you hate other players so much.
Anyway, not sure what my friends and I will do.
Probably, grow up and concentrate on work, friends and family and better hobbys.

I know what you mean. I've been spoiled. Neverwinter is a juvenile zoo compared to the only other MMO I've played. My second raiding experience was such a nightmare I just play this as a single player game now. Play the storyline through, spend my AD on potions and the like and get out until some new content comes along.

Just enjoy the game and don't worry about the exploiters.

The 7 hour rollback is the period when the exploit went viral and is the vast majority of the activity. The 1% that was happening before the rollback will have to be investigated in detail on a case by case basis. It seems like a good compromise between minimizing lost time and setting things straight. Not perfect, but far better than a full wipe for most people.

Neverwinter is in Open Beta with bugs and game imbalances EXPECTED to be discovered and fixed before the game is released. Perhaps you should stop beta testing this game and wait for Neverwinter to be released.
