NWO is a great product and a lot of fun. I appreciate how you handled the exploit which really gives me confidence in this game, the developers and the people in charge. A 7 hour roll-back is fine and it sounds like it solved 99% of the problem. Thank you for continuing to pursue the other 1%. Thank you for not completely wiping the server and requiring us to start over.
Despite some of the outrage on the forums everyone I talk to in-game seems to be having fun just playing the game. It seems only the people that spend all their times on the forum are not having fun - perhaps because they spend on all their time on the forum.
Great job! Most of us are with you as you work out all the bugs!

It's like that on just about every game, forum opinions are always completely one sided and then when you take the in-game opinions it's backwards.

I've been playing Neverwinter since early last week (or so). I only have a level 25 GF right now and a 9 TR, but I'm really enjoying the game so far. Yeah, I was irritated by the server being down yesterday, until I hit their Twitter feed and found out why, but I'm willing to give them a week to sort things out before being all drastic and calling for a wipe. I've played CO and STO, both great games IMO (only don't play them because none of my friends were into the Trek / super-hero themes). Right now, even with the issues there currently are with NW, I'm still playing, my girlfriend is still playing, my friend and her husband are still playing... we all have played enough MMOs, beta and otherwise, to know that sometimes things happen, exploits almost ruin the gaming experience for some, but generally, most of the devs will fix the issues. They know that people won't play with broken systems forever.
I come to the forums and see the same typical thread any new game has when there's an issue early one. (DOOM!!!! This game is fail etc...)
TLDR
Ragers need to settle down and give the devs a week or so to sift through the coding / databases to finish banning the exploiters and fix the code.
Taken this from another thread but did not want to type it all again...
Did I care about the economy before the exploits... not really
Will I care after the fix... maybe but can't really see it
Will I still be playing this game after all this.... **** YES.
I love this bleeding game. I love the combat. I love the adventures. I love the fact I can adventure in a dungeon someone else has lovingly created. Admittedly I will love it even more if my Barbarian class ever comes around, but all in all I love it.
It sadens me when I see people who don't seem to love this game for the same reasons as I do and want to quit due to fake economics. Why else play the game but to have fun for the reason this is D&D.
Does this make me a fanboi.... don't know... I do know I like this game.
So on that basis thanks Cryptic for a game that I enjoy. I certainly will still keep enjoying after this little who ha.
All I can say for the amount I have spent so far (not very much), I have thoroughly enjoyed what I got so its a win for me and lost nothing. Happy days.

The question is... Are you part of the 1%?
Occupy Neverwinter, anybody?!

Indeed. The people who enjoy the game, will surely play it, instead of posting about it. :P
I take offense to that!
Joking, of course.
But yeah, that is indeed the rule of thumb. Certainly many of the complaints aren't unfounded but overall I am still having a blast playing the game!

Yup the 1%'ers make a lot of noise. The game is great. Thanks
Lol even fanboy threads get the copy paste "thanks for your feedback".
Majority don't come to forums let alone post. When they leave, they do so quietly without giving valuable feedback that could be used to improve the game to retain, perhaps even entice new, customers.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Neverwinter Online Open Beta is an ongoing success

I would have appreciated it more if they had "handled it" when it was first bought to their attention weeks ago. Some one made a serious error of judgement when deciding whether to take revenue (launch) or delay to fix potentially catastrophic exploits. It's only when this potentially catastrophic exploit turned catastrophic that they "handled it" despite the issue being well known to them for weeks, arguably since STO.
Personally I would spin it thus....a big fanfare moving from "open beta" to "launch" (even though launched in everything but name), gifts for everyone, maybe add some stuff to founders packs (it's paying customers that are most important). Finally an apology that it has become necasary to wipe due to the exploits found in the "open beta". People will ***** that there was supposed to be no wipe of course but you gotta do what you gotta do. Polls (and common sense) show a wipe is the preferred course of action.

Edit - And to see what their gift package is...
D&D Home Page - What Class Are You? - Build A Character - D&D Compendium
Decubis: Dwarf Guardian Fighter: lvl 60
Demic: Human Devoted Cleric: lvl 60
Server: Beholder Guild: The Unnamed
Sounds like they did their job perfectly then.
/clap

I do not recall Occupy anything working very well. Did I miss something?
It made people feel special then the issue got shoved under the table again....
I'm just glad to see how well the economy is doing now that the issues are fixed!

The whole sentence is meant as irony

Should throw a reminder that there's still time to get a founders pack in there
