Leatherworking

Haven't seen any detailed posts or guides on crafting so I'll start one.

Leatherworking appears to be all about making armor for the trickster rogue in addition to shirts & pants. You gather pelts and cure them using rock salt. Basic resources like these can be gotten at the market in Protector's Enclave. Go see M'tari Prin'tal Profession Supplies.
You then use the cured leather to make armor, boots, bracers and gloves. I recommend saving these items for later upgrading as you gain crafting levels. All magic items require a resource known as residuum. If you want to become a crafter, be sure to pick up all the residuum you find. It doesn't take up any space in your main pack, it's stored on your inventory professions resources tab.
As with all professions, you begin by hiring your workers then upgrading them later. With leatherworking, you will start with skinners then upgrade to tanners at level 7. It take 4 skinners to upgrade so you may need to hire extras. At level 4 you can begin making Vandal's and Prowler's armor. Vandal's requires desert roses and Prowler's require dark clovers as their unique resource.
If you have plenty of astral diamonds, use them to speed up the gathering process. Gather 5 times then mass cure once. It's too expensive to pay for fast curing so you will need to wait 6 hours for simple pelts or 7 hours for tough pelts. You then use these cured pelts (leather) as your resource for crafting your armor and clothing. Rare crafting tasks will requires tools. In leatherworking you will need shears and awls. These tools can be acquired at the profession supplies merchant on the Assets tab. These can be later upgraded by doing crafting tasks. In addition, rare crafting requires rare crystals like the Arcane or Eldritch Crystals.
It's as simple as that. Have fun crafting.

Not entirely true, the leatherworking profession can only craft shirts and pants for rogues, as, there are different types of shirts and pants for each class; ie, cloth, leather, mail and plate. Yes, there are plate shirts, made with the platesmithing profession only. Good luck

    Spoiler:

The level 20 leather working crafting item is Gloves of the Covert Brigand.
A tip for rapid leveling: Buy stacks of leather, residuum and crystals from auction house. Craft rare leather armors multiple times whenever they come up on your rare list. Purple assets helps to make gemmed armor.

The advice above is a bit meh

The beat way is not to mass make leather
    6 hours for 8 pelts
Whilst the quicker one is 2 per 10 minutes which would give you 12 per hour which is what ive been doing only at level 7 leather working atm but 6 hours is alot of time for just enough to make 1 piece of armor .

More invested you are the better and when you can do it on your phone it almost makes its almost not pointless .

Considering drops from rabdom mobs are normally better than 99% of the craftables.

As leatherworkers it would nice for us to have the ability to craft like 10 slot bags or something thats not just useful to rogue

This may be the worst "guide" I have seen. Nothing you said here couldn't be figured out in 1 minute of playing. In fact, most of the crafting in this game is the same way. Sure there are some faster, easier, and more beneficial recipes out there.

That's what people want. Not to be told to cure pelts using AD to speed it up and then mass cure.

Rare crafting is also 100% useless until later levels.

    0/10 on this "guide"
