newbie in need of assisstance

ok here is my issue this is not the first time i have come across this it seems that the +3 green robes give me more benefits than the blue set yet the blue one is " *recommended " the first time i saw it i had a green ring with +51 defence and a plain white bordered ring with +55 defence but the green one was again " *recommended "

could someone explain to me please as i cannot seem to find out why the one's that seem to give lesser benefits seem to be recommended, any insight would be appreciated and thank you in advance :)

    well blues of the same lvl as greens give you more total stat points, thats why they are recommended - but that doesnt mean they are the best fit for you...i'd identify the 3 most important stats for your play stile and equip the items that improve those stats the most...dont listen to the game's recommendation.

    What nemesis said, think of 'recommended' as a blind guess at what you would need.
    Its more a "if you have no clue at all which is generically better, put this on"

    If you know what your going for even a bit, go with what you see as better.

    As far as I know, it is a known bug that the recommended feature does not take the item stats into account correctly. I think you should simply ignore it for now.

    ah ok cool thank you guys :) i thought it seemed a bit odd, thanks for the answers, i can choose with a bit more certainty now. :)

    Yup, right now recommended takes average/overall stats of items and their gear score into account, but not what stats are best suited toward your current build/powers. That part still requires thought/planning from the character. Feel free to join us in the NWO-Newbies channel in-game if you have more questions.
