Are they always gonna rollback during the beta?

Seriously Cryptic, you should of never did the rollback. You should of invested the money to hunt down the exploiters and ban them! Yes it does require more mindnumbing work, but at least your customers would remain happy!

Now you just proved to the entire community that this beta isn't as great as you said it would be! You claimed that you would never "wipe" our characters and we could keep'em, which is great. But I guess it's my fault for assuming that you weren't gonna be doing rollbacks!!! But now I know!

Does this mean whenever another group of people discover a dupe exploit, you're gonna be rolling back the servers a day behind???

Please confirm that you will never do rollbacks ever again during this beta because I am not spending another dollar on this game if you're gonna keep doing this until the game goes live! The two MMORPGs I've played the most for the past decade are Star Wars Galaxies and World of Warcraft! I've played them since launch and neither of them ever had to rollback their servers due to exploits! And there was A LOT of exploiting! People were duping Credits in SWG every now and then, but Sony took the effort to trace these individuals down and ban them without hurting the rest of the community! Blizzard never rolled back their servers either because can you imagine punishing MILLIONS of players just because a few hundred dupped gold and items? People found out you could crash the Dire Maul instance servers and use tools to dupe items! But they only removed the duped items and banned the players! They didn't rollback and punish everyone who played on those days!

The roll back wasn't exclusive of banning. They can still ban on top of the roll-back. A roll-back isn't the same as wiping characters, except for those few created during the roll-back period, which wouldn't have been that far along anyway.

They will never confirm there will be no future roll-back, as roll-backs occur in 'final' MMOs, and if they feel it is needed again here to preserve the game they will do it again here.

I guess it's true what they say about companies.

Any move that you make, good or bad, SOMEBODY is going to oppose it.

I don't see any alternative other than f*cking over a large majority of the quiet and happy individuals, unaffected by some doorknobs that were creating economical problems within the game. It's a good thing we'd be punished for their crimes with a wipe.

in other words: shut up, there was no other viable option, and even then, I STILL don't think you and the rest of your kind would be happy.
