First let me start by saying I am someone who has spent a fair amount of money on this game already, I have 1 lvl 60 Rogue with higher end tier one gear ( for the most part gotten through questing though I have bought a few pieces on the AH in the past). I never used the foundry exploit though I was aware of it, I did notice the -# AD bids I never tried to buy anything with -bids(mainly because I thought it was a graphical glitch) I did however sell a few items for a normal amount and when I got the mail it had sold I got all of 2 AD.

So for those of you who do not want a wipe because you have put "soooo much time and effort" into min-maxing the game, it is one month into the soft launch/open beta....

Have we really gotten to this point in the gaming culture? The point of gaming used to be to actually well.... PLAY the game and figure out how to move to that next point or get that next level or buy that new car. It seriously blows my mind that 1 month into the game people are concerned for their 3 fully tier 2 geared multi profession maxed toons. ITS BEEN 4 BLEEDIN WEEKS! I would also be willing to bet that you folks were also the first to post and lament the lack of end game content.

Look, there is no question that the Dev's have some major culpability and definitely dropped the ball here, but from what I have seen in the brief time the game has been out, wait no not out, in "open beta" they have in general been pretty responsive to a great many issues and if they respond quickly and decisively to this that would go a long way with me. That being said this is a much bigger issue and the player base has a right to be ticked off, but we dont even know how it will be handled yet.

Regardless of how they do handle it they will not be able to satisfy everyone, and to be honest those that may leave over a wipe because they worked sooo hard to get their toons maxed out in a month, the community might be better off without the long run. I know that is a sweeping generalization and I will concede there may be exceptions but I stand by it.

A total wipe with refunds of zen to those who bought and as permanent a ban as they can manage for the most egregious offenders is really the only way to fix the balance and economy of this game right now and I for one would support it.

Said many times on their twitter: no wipe. It seems they prefer to let a few guilty people free, than punish one innocent person sort of philosophy. The most that may happen at this point is a rollback, which means all I have to show for yesterday will be some memories. Memories that will make redoing the content even more tedious...

    Cheers!

As already pointed out before, wipe WHEN EVER something goes wrong, and by now we would have had like 3 wipes, and who knows what might happen next week, let me guess lets just wipe for every exploit? Having to force honest players to restart because of cheaters is unfair, not to mention the wipe only benefits exploiters to begin with, if you didn't know, some of them made thousands of dollars off of the previous, wiping will not take the money they gained from this and they will just exploit after the wipe with what ever they find next, mean while the honest player is forced to level up all over again and re obtain their gear while the exploiters just laugh at everyone and proceed to make more money. AH right imagine if they gave us a wipe after the 1st exploit, a week later another exploit happens, lets wipe, again. Now what if there is another 2 weeks from now? Oh right I know, wipe again!

its open BETA beta is a trial. Wipe should be no braine. Once the game goes live they will have to make sure all the known issures are fixed and from then on new exploits or disasters can be delt with as they happen.

Beta is wipe data before going live always has been in most civilzed communites.

Not when they have taken my money on the explicit promise of no character reset. Now if they wish to refund in cash every cent I have spent then they can wipe. I've played most of the very linear story and it has been enjoyable. Doing it all again would be as boring as reading through a whole book because you lost your place so getting AD or Zen or whatever won't cut it. Cash because I won't waste my time doing old content.

Oh for the love of God stop saying "it's beta derp derp expect a wipe". They are not going to Wipe!! Too much real money has been exchanged and it is no longer beta regardless of what they say.

Cryptic said there would not be a wipe at the end of Open Beta and release... Not everyone has as much game time as others and 4 weeks is more valuable for those of us who have real life responsibilities that restrict our free time.

Not going to happen..many other MMO's go into open beta and they also say no more wipes.
I really do not know why some people can not accept this..you are flogging a dead horse.

They could "Rollback" to the very start of Open Beta. Not a wipe a rollback. That would still leave the ounders their one week of game play untouched.
Allow me to introduce myself, I am P'zzd Achu.
