so right as im about to go to bed i see they stickied a new update saying that a 7 hour rollback is their solution.

...but the exploit existed and was being used for a heck of a lot longer than 7 hours.

so where'd this 7 hour number come from?

smoke and mirrors?

or is there actually some sort of logic behind it?

I know you're tired but please try to keep your sarcasm in check and respect The Plan.

The Plan took 10-odd hours to come up with. The Plan consists of a single idea and gives no information whatsoever

    All hail The Plan.

Totally agree, there have been exploiters and AD dups since right after the servers went live, it just went viral about 7 hours before shut down.... wtf is this HAMSTER! This is the biggest load of HAMSTER and they will see that the economy is so FUBAR when the servers are up for a while. This entire down time is a waste of man hours, game time, and money. This is the biggest load of garbage I have ever seen from a company and will go down in 2013 history as the worst epic fail open beta! Maybe of all time!! Last time Cryptic or PWI ever get a dime from me and I can't wait to see how much of this goes viral on the MMO news sites tomorrow... good luck selling any more Founders Packs.

I don't think you read the post. the 7 hour rollback is due to the bug that was discovered at 5 am.

At a guess that was just as far back as they were willing to go, and about the time the exploit made it's way onto chat channels.
