Alright so i've been reading over the numerous posts of people that are soooo traumatized by all of the exploits/prices/ and everything else and are threatening to quit. Well people, have a nice life, sad you couldn't stay longer and enjoy everything else there is to offer here. As for me and others here, i'm going to stay with the game as I love playing it. Prices dont really concern me for the moment since I dont bother buying anything from AH. I go out and will wait for it to drop for me or something. Ive got time to wait. Not that big of a deal since games are meant to take time in doing, Rome wasnt built in a day  And I know eventually things will be worked out, this IS A NEW GAME after all. Plenty of tweaks left to be made. But yes I know most of these people are just wanting attention.:p And honestly people, no one can sit there and show me a perfect game, cause lets be realistic. There isn't one.

Anyways thank you people of Cryptic and PWI. Many of us appreciate your work on the game and know that it will take time to fix some of these problems people are so hurt over haha.

Unfair max, as a woman I can tell you first-hand no form of PMS ever made me as unreasonable, demanding, and irritable as some of these posters. :D

But, I totally agree. I think leaving or not leaving based on something like the economy (really, the economy?) or this whole 'full wipe only way 1111!!!!!' standpoint about the economy is just hugely overblown. The economy will recover, at most it's been damaged for three weeks AT MOST, permanent bans will take some of it out, and natural player attrition will take some of it out, as well as some misbegotten goods. AH tax will pull some more excess, and in six months no one will even notice. I've lived through so many gold exploiters in so many games, time and removing the source will regulate the precious economy, lol.

Now if only we had some kind of medication to give these ragers to regulate them... clearly some people need it.

LMAO that made my night. Thanks you guys for the support to the game. Stay classy~
And they will get this all sorted out in time. And besides, once they do, then after a few days all those expensive items will be automatically removed from auction and they can get back to posting reasonable prices right? ^_^

There's a lotta people mad, doe.

It's not irrational drama, though. Some serious things happened and people are seriously concerned on both sides of the fray. It's not a minor exploit receiving a major response, it's a serious exploit receiving a relatively unified 'I'm really mad about this because ____'. That's all.

I don't mind if people are mad, everyone is entitled to their feelings. I feel like a lot of the threats, and excessive steps being taken when the servers have only been down for not even a night is just overly dramatic though. People were threatening chargebacks, legal action, BBB complaints, etc if we didn't have a full wipe within 30 minutes of servers being down.

Even now when they've announced a full wipe just won't happen, the same people are like 'well i'll quit then!'. What is the point of posting all of that?

You can express your displeasure/try to get a refund if you're a founder, but why spam forums with saying you're quitting over it after you've accomplished that? It can be for only 1 reason... you're not getting your way, and you want attention. Well, none of that is going to happen over the forums, so thats why it's silly and dramatic.

The fact is, a full wipe is not the only viable solution. I also have a stake in this as I play the game, as do many other people. But a lot of us, especially those of us that have weathered some storms know that the economy will stabilize over time from this extremely small inflation bubble.

I'd say these people have 0 experience with real life economics or money but since a lot of them paid for stuff in game that can't be true... they have to have bank accounts, or something... some source of income. I wonder what they think of the american economy since they think this is a mess.

Anyways, the drama is way overblown for the issue, it's being handled - maybe not in the way you choose, and you can totally whine but lets cut the excessive theatrics down to size, in proportion with what is actually happening.

Many people read about "wipe" and get upset because that would mean all their characters would be killed and they would have to start over. As if this was ...a beta or something. I can understand that - some people invested a lot of time and love into their digital avatars. The angst is a response to other gamers crying for a wipe - it is clear that no wipe is planned. So many of the emotional posts aren't just cries for attention by the drama lovers IMO.

I suspect that a good percentage of the people that are truly upset and demanding at least a rollback or they will quit are heavily focused on PvP. Not all by any means but many. I can shrug my shoulders and say things are bad but if someone else gets to 60 through exploits or gets super gear through exploits it doesn't hurt me directly. But to a pvper if the competiton gets 20% more powerful this is a direct blow and the competitions become very unfair. In addition to the pain that many of the most loyal customers - pvp or pve - may feel if 2 million diamonds included in a pack buy less on the auction house than they did 2 days ago due to hyperinflation.

So yes there are many drama queens - and kings - out there but Ive seen many many blowups on forums over the decades - I've been playing these games quite a while - and this one has a lot more substance to it than most.

The forums are bursting at the seams with negativity and an overall sophomoric whiney attitude towards the events in our beloved fantasy world. Exploits happen, in games and in the every day real world. Grandfather time will iron these issues out, ohh and the Devs who have been slaving away at bringing us a game free of charge that has been such a refreshing change of pace from any other MMO's out right now. To those fuming over what is going down or complaining that you are entitled to some type of compensation when the servers are back up,I have to say...grow up. Look at the bigger picture and create an environment where we can be helpful and positive in these situations.

Lol you people tonight I swear... gonna make me die laughing ^_^ *high fives*
The developers have stated many times THERE ARE NO PLANS FOR WIPE. So I seriously don't know why people keep demanding one...I dunno, people are just weird haha. I mean there can be numerous other solutions without wiping everyone's hard work, those who did the hard work anyways. Anyways yeah, there are no magic REDO buttons in life that someone can just press and POOF! Everything will be fixed in the blink of an eye. Yes I know we all wish there was, but theres not. So I suggest some of these people learn alittle patience or something. Go read some books, go out on dates, go play Frisbee in the backyard or something. Its not like the game is going anywhere, it will be here for a long time.

This seems to be one of the only views(that I've seen) that is perceptive of both sides of the situation, while the "wipe or I leave" threads are overly dramatic, the "fine, bye" comments/counter threads don't help the situation. There needs to be adequate consideration of concerns of how to handle the ill gotten gains of the exploiters and the effects that they have on the balance of the game. Many say that there are plenty of other ways to handle it, as opposed to a wipe. Yet I have not seen anyone specify one of these ways.

Thats because the main way is time. Economic bubbles occur. As another poster pointed out, AD gained through founders packs is a completely similar economic bubble, and no one is complaining about that - because a small time frame of people with lots of AD will eventually trickle out.

The AH has 10% tax on things
Players naturally leave the game for various reasons, and don't give away their AD/stuff - so it can come out of circulation that way

People relied on these things to remove excess AD from the system when were talking about founders packs, so why is it not acceptable now?

Bans of exploiters + fixing the exploit so it can't be used anymore + removing the bulk of misbegotten AD from questionable accounts via banning them will leave only the AD currently in circulation and items purchased with AD, which may some day even become invalid items due to replacement....

Time will heal this economic bubble, and smooth it out. This isn't any different than real life economics. 3 weeks over the period of a year of people having an AD free for all, if the loose AD is accounted for and the leak fixed will not be any real factor.
