I'm a real Cash Shopper and I won a Heavy Inferno Nightmare yesterday...

So yes, as an adult with a good paying job I decided to play PWI's mini lottery system since the game started. I have purchased a "fair share" of Zen these last few weeks and I was rewarded with the lottery winnings of a Heavy Nightmare. Now my question to the Admins is with whatever dupe/scam/hocus pocus-mumbo jumbo that a few idiots have gone ahead and spread like wildfire, can I be guaranteed since there WONT be a full wipe that my Heavy Nightmare will still be on my character? I won it yesterday afternoon so I am hoping that it will still be there.

If not, I will be planning on disputing all Zen transactions with PayPal as my purchases were made for in game items that I received and subsequently deleted for actions that were not of my doing if we do a rollback.

Paypal isn't gonna side with you if you dispute.

They already stated there WON'T BE A FULL WIPE. As for what they will do... wait for an official announcement that's coming soon.

Man I gotta say, you mention the mini lottery system, but spending real cash for items in a game in beta is like playing a big lottery system. I sincerely hope everyone who bought things legit gets to keep things they've bought with real money, but at the same time I can't help but feel I made the right decision waiting. I'm an adult with a good paying job, too, but still try to be wise with the hard-earned cash. Beta's beta for a reason, generally means things are in test mode for big populations. God knows in all the decades I've been playing MMOs, I've seen lots and lots and lots of things go wrong during this phase. Best of luck to you and everyone else who has spent cash, but I don't need a bag or a horse bad enough to take my chances right now.

paypal already has their buts covered by stating they will not cover any digital items with the buyer protection, you should really read up before agreeing to stuff.

Question about the Nightmare horse..... If you get lucky enough to get this-- is it available on all your characters?

no just 1 per char. The horse we got with the $60 package has the same stats but no flames. I was going to keep it in my bank and sell it down the road if they ever change the lockboxes.

i didnt think PayPal would agree with me but 1 complaint/dispute combined with others can become a powerful statement. PR nightmare for PWI right about now unfortunately :(

If they roll back to before you won it - that horse is gone. That is how a rollback works. Many people will lose that horse or top level items that they won fair and square - rollbacks are painful and hurt the honest people. The question is - what alternatives do they have? They say they have a finalized announcement but are running it up the flagpole to get approvals from all involved so we can only wait.

If they do a full reset (I doubt it, but wishful thinking here) they will give you back your zen. Here is how you get one of those inferno mounts with it: Sell zen for Astral diamonds. Hold onto Astral diamonds for two weeks. Buy inferno mount on auction house when you discover the house has 100 of them for going as low as 400K AD and save yourself the trouble of the mini lottery. Same for the Pheora pet at as low as 100K. I promise you, if we get a full reset the astrals will start at 500 for 1 zen. This is the time to buy them. Before the economy tanked, they were going at a rate of 350 for one zen. Full rest, the only thing i'm buying with my initial stipend of zen and astrals is bags, bank space, and an Ion stone :P

I'm in the same boat as you.
I was very very lucky to get my horse after 9 keys, I probably wont be that lucky again.

Maybe I'll send in a heartfelt support ticket before they do the rollback and maybe they'll make an exception for a few people. After all, this isn't EA Support so we might get lucky.

Paypal will not entertain disputes regarding virtual property. However you can get your credit card company to dispute the charges. Know however that doing that can damage your credit rating, not to mention your PWI account and Paypal account can/might get terminated.

Stop trying to scare people... It won't hurt your credit, you'll get you're money back, your paypal account will be fine.

Are you somehow vested in this game to try and scare people like that?
Worst thing that will happen is terminated neverwinter account and terminated perfect world account.

Which I could care less about if this isn't handled fairly.

Did you guys that got The Heavy Inferno Nightmare out of the box have to buy Training to use it? My buddy got one out of a box and gave it to me since he has the spider, but it won't work for me. I have it in my slot and nothing happens when I use it.
