Equipping at 60

Hello guys!
I have a question for the people who are already 60 (yeah, I'm still far away from the cap).
When I'll get the level 60, how I'll begin to equip my characters?
Somebody told me that dungeon t1 and t2 are incredible hard without epic, and the mobs on foundry quest at 60 will shot you if you are a 60 green equipped. So.. Where I'll have to start? Please don't tell me pvp, I enjoy it sometimes, but I prefer PVE. Some friends told me that do the last 3-5 level on PvP help for the begin of the end game.. But I realy don't want do levels only on pvp.
So, what I'll have to do? Thanks.

No need to even set foot in any of the dungeons ever.
