Any guides on how to transfer astral diamonds

All my astral diamonds are on a character I don't play. I tried the buying zen and then canceling method but it bought the zen instantly before I could cancel.

Is there any other method?

    list them all on the exchange for an insane price that no one will ever pay then just retrieve them with the other character

    Eek! Don't list at the advertised price. Offer to buy X amount of zen for 50 AD each (which is as low as you can go) then cancel the offer. The AD goes into your exchange balance which can be claimed by any character (on the same account). If by some miracle you do manage to buy zen at that ridiculous price, then count your blessings, because you can relist it for a nice profit :)
