Really guys you can't patch dungeon files at beginning of the game, you have to patch them as we are entering a dungeon? So stupid, never seen this in a game. Took 9 minutes of patching to get into a dungeon with friends.

So true. It is sometimes literally ridiculous. I don't mind the patching but at least make the servers fast enough. I'm having download speeds of 0 bytes/per second for over 5 minutes at times.

Disable on demand patching from the launcher options.

What he said, you can choose between both options. It would be maybe an extra gig download from the launcher though

Yes, you, and you and I may figure out that you can disable this feature. But that doesn't help very much if that other random player didn't figure this out, so you have to either wait for nn minutes and see if he doesn't leave, or quit yourself and requeue. This is of course mainly a problem with random queing. Which I believe most players do a fair bit of.

I understand that you want players to get as quickly into the game as possible, and for that reason want to postpone the 1.5 gig download. But wouldn't it be better to simply patch this in the background with a low download-rate, rather than waiting till the player needs the content? You could even do it as the player is getting close to the required level and or gear score to need the content.

The main thing is to make sure it's there when it's needed.

Ok, just disabled the patch on demand. Thank you! Seen that screen but didn't notice that option.

For the futue, I would like to enable it, but it would have to be as follows. As soon as I QUEUE for the dungeon or skirmish, the patching needs to begin. None of this black screen HAMSTER when I already have to wait 15 minutes for the queue, I do not want to wait another 15 mins for the files to load (160KB download speed is my usual speed). Why not two birds with one stone? Sure if there are lots in the queue, it wont take 15 mins to join the dungeon...but it would at least be a step in the right direction and cut the load time of the slower connections.
