Dear Developers,
I am loving the <explicit> out of this game, but there is still a bit of polishing that could be done. Here is my list of things I'd like to see changed to help streamline our gaming experience further. Obviously these are mere suggestions, but I'd be happier should they be fixed.
This list will be altered/added to as new things come up, or old things are fixed. I think most anything on it is rather clear, but should clarification on any matter be needed, I am more than happy to give such.
Thank you!
- Ability to hide shirt/pants. Let's face it. The gear rocks but is often very silly looking with grandma's shirt showing under it.
- Enchantments/runes get its own tab in inventory.
- (Non-active) Mounts NOT in inventory/bank.
- Knowledge of which gender your companion is BEFORE you name it.
- A way to see what level the people/characters online on your friends list are.
- Make all consumables of the same type stackable with eachother. Having two stacks of any given kind of healing potion/altar/ID scroll (because one is bound and the other is not) is silly.
- Partymembers default into the same instance when changing zones/after DC.
- Quicker client kick when getting "server not responding" message. Waiting 90 seconds to get kicked is frustrating.
- "Don't show message again" check-box option for various conversations, such as enchanting items/cost warning and more.
- Option to exit to character select instead of Log In screen.
- Ability to fill up a dungeon group if someone leaves/is kicked/DCs.
- Ability to loot chests in dungeons simultaneously.
- Ability to use zone-transition doors simultaneously.
- Allow partymembers to choose their tracked quest independent of party leader.
- Option to have more than one text box open at one time.
- A separate trade chat channel. Please? Pretty please? Oh my sanity!

This is an open beta. Start treating it like one.
*Creates new character, levels to 5, mails potions and ID scrolls from box to main who then sells the potions for gold and the scrolls for AD on the exchange, rinse, repeat.*

Pay real money to change appearance to one with a broken model
[*]Enchantments/runes get its own tab in inventory.
Pay money to unlock special rune bag for 1000 zen (I bet it's coming)
[*](Non-active) Mounts NOT in inventory/bank.
Same as above (special bag for mounts - except that the goal is to make you keep them in inventory so you buy more bags with zen)
[*]Knowledge of which gender your companion is BEFORE you name it.
You can pay for a rename
[*]A way to see what level the people/characters online on your friends list are.
Would be nice, don't see any zen tie in

See a couple lines above about bags and zen

Would be nice

Press alt-f4
[*]"Don't show message again" check-box option for various things, such as enchanting items/cost warning and more.

These are some really good suggestions. I agree with all of them. Hopefully, over time they will add these in. Sooner then later I hope. All of these suggestions should be in for official launch. If not, I hope they work hard to get it in quickly after.
The suggestions you made about bags for enchantments/runes and mounts seems like a no brainer. I basically bought a 24 slot bag (only 1 and won't buy another) just for my enchantments/runes. Feels like a waste. After all, they made a great design choice with the crafting materials and idle companions. Seems like it would be really easy to add these in. Hopefully for free, but that's mostly wishful thinking lol.
P.S. If you have a moment. Take a look at the suggestion I posted. I wouldn't say its anywhere as good as the ones you made. But, its also an important one.

Thanks in advance for anyone who checks it out and/or comments. (I apologize ahead of time if you feel i'm hijacking your thread here. If you do, i'll gladly erase the "P.S" portion of my post.)

Neverwinter: +3.5 for Mimics in game! Finally!
I understand that keeping us starved for bag space is a way to sell Zen bags, BUT with only 5 bag slots currently available... there is only so much bag space to be had in the end.

Not at all! Best of luck with that, too!

Doing this will make a lot of people get kicked during map patching at this stage, bad idea.
Thank you!

If so, the client needs to distinguish between patching and not responding. Let's try to keep the thread constructive rather than coming up with flimsy reasons to nitpick!
Here's something I'd like:
Add /gotocharacterselect to the keybinds menu.
I agree. I mentioned that in the list: "Exit to character select instead of Log In screen."
Until then you can put in: "/bind ] gotocharacterselect" without the quotationmarks and where "]" is your selected key.
Thank you for the input!

I'm truly glad to see it's still around and that I wasn't alone in liking the suggestions.
And +3?! Mimics deserve a plus 4 at least!
I'm honestly not sure whether I want to make it my loyal companion who is constantly trying ti eat me or if I want to make a music video out of the rattling coins and body slams.
Its because the streaming zone updates is bugged. Go to patcher. Select options. Disable on-demand patching. Problem fixed. Or just Alt-F4 if you like getting disconnected all the time.
... oh man. A mimic companion. NOW you've gone and done it. XD

Eeeeexcellent one. Thank you.

Going to try this tomorrow. I realize that these things are likely to be smoother and streamlined once the whole game is actually "out there" - and this also made me realize I don't seem to have the whole game downloaded yet. Thank you!

Hey, I think this is actually a good idea. A cheap bag that can be used to keep runes and enchantments for a reasonable Zen cost. We must admit that they're what take most of our bag's space, so it would be a great convienience option. :P
- Titania Silverblade, the Iron Rose of Myth Drannor (Lvl 60 GWF, Destroyer)
- Gwyneth, the Cowardly Cat Burglar Drowling (Lvl 60 TR, Saboteur)
- Lady Rowanne Firehair, Heartwarder of Sune (Lvl 33 DC)
- Satella, Sensate (LvL 44 CW, Renegade, Non-Active)

Add a gelatinous cube to the list, either as a companion... or a MOUNT!

You can see the companion before you name. While its in your inventory, before you have bound it to you. You can right click on the item for it and select inspect companion.
You can do this with macros. I forget who originally posted it, but the mechanics are there just not the UI option. The command /bind 0 "gotocharacterselect" will set your 0 key to a log out to character select. You have to let the 15 second timer go to 0 and you will be at the character select screen. Have to enter it for each character. Again, someone else came up with this. Can't recall the name though.
Pretty much agree with everything said. Just wanted to mention a couple work arounds.
Yeah. It should be about 1.9GBs.
More suggestions though I don't play a rogue. When a rogue detects a trap it should show red to the rest of the group after x amount of time (Not only when someone sets it off). When a rogue is in a group (not solo) and he disables a trap, he should get a small amount of XP for helping the group and promote him to disable them instead of running around them. Also when a rogue disables a trap it should be outlined in green so the party knows it is disabled. And last, I think the non end of quest chests (silver) should have a small chance to randomly be trapped. 5-10%. This is an opinion of course.
