I would say either Tiefling or Human. Don't know what the Drow's Racials are yet.

Tiefling, but I am going to roll human nevertheless.

I think Human is a bit better than Tiefling, because it's possible to compensate '+2 stat' with feat points bonus and even get some benefit from them.
For example, '2 Int' is same as +2% to recharge speed and damage.
At the same time, 1 point in 'Fight on' increases recharge by 2% and 1 point in Arcane mastery increases damage by 2%(or 3% from Blightning power if you prefer chill magic). So while you can fully compensate lower base stats with feats, you also have more 'diversity'(because you can pick other feats for stuff you actually need). Also, '+3% defence' is what a CW can really use, bloodhunt is just not a great addition to actual 'control'.

DROW, the answer is always drow lol. I say it depends on your backstory in most cases but in game I would have to say Id either make a Drow or Tiefling.

I'll play either Human, elf or...Half-elf. If that mean's I'm gimped or boosted based on class choice, then so be it.

Have a whole history/back story for my characters, and those three races are more important to me than a +1 or +2 somewhere.
On the other side of the screen, it all looks so easy.

I couldnt agree more. it is way more fun to play out a backstory than it is to just try to power play a PC because of a few bonuses to stats.

I, for one, will be playing a dwarf control wizard.

Who is most likely a Duergar.

    Problem?

On side note, speaking of backstories, since I'm a huge Pratchett fan, I gonna pick human anyway (and write in backstory that I'm a student from UU who got thrown into a portal as a part of experiment and then eveyone went to have lunch and forgot about me :D).

Best race has to be the Tiefling as it stands ATM best abilities bonus and one of the strongest racials in game.
Dunno enough about Drow to comment on them though.

Voted Elf as im mostly PvP. The 10% resistance against slow is nice as CW needs the movement and the extra critchance is very nice combined with the Renegade feat tree.

see I go half elf or elf or human...because I like my characters not getting attacked by an angry mob of uneducated villiagers when I ride into town

Elfs were designed to be the default wizzie class so Elf it is!

The one tiefling racial doesn't stack with one of the feats wizards have access to.

    Research vs blind sheep

    Human #1

I went with wood elf. Seemed to fit the bill, the 10% cc res looks nice... and theres already way to many teiflings. Prolly gimp, but w/e.

    For pure DPS? Go tiefling.

    For full support? Go Dwarf.

Elf is obviously best. Those +2 Dex makes her super hot.

i rolled tiefling but i think human would have been a better choice.
those three extra feats would translate in either more 3% crit or 9% more cold damage, so you could have both at the same time.
tieflings have bloodhunt which is way better than versatile defense.
i would have leveled another cw to try which one i like better but i don't think you can transfer astral diamonds, so that's an issue.
and they obviously destroyed foundry leveling for no reason, so it would take forever.
    i hate leveling so much!

I started with a tiefling and after first few T2 items(closing in with rating 9000) rerolled to a human because of "bloodhunt" not stacking with "tempest magic" feat. Rather have 3 more feat points than +2 to a stat.

I would play a drow for a flavor if it was available to me.

I rolled tiefling and I don't regret it. I'm expecting bloodhunt+tempest magic to be being fixed someday, and until then I still have my extra 2 cha giving me 2% crit, combat advantage, and companion stats. That's not too shabby.

So you reroll a character because of a bug? You know how many powers/feats/set bonuses/etc... that aren't working as intended?
A honestly. Did those 3 points in feats (while loosing +2stats) actually made your T2 runs that much easier? Hec, you can roll a half-orc wizard and still do T2s just fine.

I didn't just reroll. I also did multiple feat and power respecs! Mostly because of bugs. Everything is much easier now.

    Tiefling. Racials make it superior.

I don't believe in "best race". I've picked a halfling (for lack of Gnome, tried to make him more gnomy) and I really don't feel lacking in any way to any other CW. Im usually 1st-2nd in DPS on skirmishes and the such(if that interests you), I'm steam rolling through the levels, usually 4-5 levels above an area I'm in currently, and I can hold my own in PVP as well

Wait. Whats the difference between an "Elf" and a "Wood Elf"? where is this "Elf"?
