What happend?

suddenly only about every 3-4th creature in my dungeon give xp and loot... the rest give nothing at all... meaning after having fought hard for awhile, the end chest gives me almost nothing as well...

oh and it still gives me higher level loot than i am...

I run Foundry content and I get tons of stuff. Generally I can fill half a bag or more at the end of a 20-30 minute quest.

Granted I am running more story quests and less combat farm quests. They really only nerfed the encounter spamming quests. It works that back to back combat takes diminishing returns, but will go back to full effect after a small time in between.

The end quest chest has always been a component of the average time to beat the quest.

I ran one Foundry mission with my Rogue the other day. Gained a level, and filled my xp bar up three quarters of the way. Not only that, the loot was some of the best I've gotten. And this was from one of those heavily nerfed maps that just spammed encounters. I imagine if you was to play a quest like the one I'm working on, where encounters are typically hard, but spaced out pretty far with dialogue/objectives, that the rewards would be even greater. In summary, the XP nerf is only a game killer if you think the Foundry should primarily be a tool for making farm maps.

Basically what the others have said. Don't try and speed farm a foundry mission and you'll be fine. Take your time and enjoy the work that went into it. A buddy was complaining the other day about the xp in foundry missions so we started the same one at the same time, but played separately. We were both 32.

He finished in about 8 minutes. He got 4 green/3 white drops, and only about 1/3 of a level. He skips over the lore/dialogue and doesn't explore optional areas.
I finished in 20 minutes. I read all the dialogue, clicked everything that sparkled, and explored off the fairy trail. I got 12 greens, a few religion/arcana kits, some pots and 4 white items. Oh and I gained 3/4 of a level.

Xp is fine for foundry quest (even though it pales in comparison too Cryptic content). Take your time and don't rush things.

I've pretty much stuck to just doing Foundry quests for awhile now, and I usually find my inventory full or almost full and I'm leveling so fast (to me) that I'm considering starting another character to review quests since my cleric companion's stuck at 15 and is starting to take a real beating.

I wish there was a way to turn XP off!

Yes, there was an overly drastic nerf. It has been called a band-aid but no real comment from Cryptic has been forth coming. A large part of the community (those in favor of no rewards) have hailed it as a good thing and have really painted anyone who complains about it as a "farming exploiter".

Myself and others have repeatedly stated the issue is that the game has no group scalability built in for the Foundry. Thus if I place an Ogre as a "hard" encounter but you bring a friend it doesn't stay a hard encounter by increasing the toughness of the mob. A few have stated that the system should award a hard number of XP for the run without any reward for kills and another suggestion was to calculate a total xp award divided by the number of encounters then give it out for each kill.

Honestly, I created Cryptic's own dungeon in the foundry and put it up for play (in my signature) and in it you get about 3/4's of the way through before XP and loot is turned off due to the nerf. There is no denying the nerf impacts "balanced" content (despite those that try to say it's only exploiters) and Cryptic will do what they will do.
Do you crave a good old fashioned dungeon crawl? One where the dungeon tells it's own story? The Dungeon Delves campaign is just for you! Start with my first release: NW-DQF4T7QYH Any cave can lead to adventure!

Can someone clarify because I am not sure.

Does the duration time effect the end chest loot?

Is it possible to get Dragon eggs from longer ones?
