So according to this page, beholders can be found in the whispering caverns. However, I've finished all the quests in this zone, including the dungeons, and haven't come across a single one. So where the hell are they?

Hmm, I finished all the quests there and just assumed it was in the Skirmish or Dungeon since I've yet to do those.

Man, that's so sad. I really like the Beholder as a monster, almost as much as I like the Gelatinous Cube. I was so happy when I heard they were both in the game. Now I'm just sad that there's only one Gelatinous Cube and apparently no Beholder. I mean for me personally a Beholder more optimizes D&D than a Dragon does. Though I am thinking that perhaps it's better we've been unable to find it. I mean I found the Dragons a huge let down in Neverwinter, without the huge number of adds making the encounter "seem" more difficult, the creature itself is laughable. Better the Beholders remain a fond memory of a difficult creature than something I encounter made difficult only by the number of other creatures it pulls in.

That's what I thought as well, but then i did the skirmish and dungeon and they weren't there either.
