Is the PVP gear supposed to be better or worse than the T1 gear?

I have the PVP set and i was looking at the Unicorn and Drake sets for the GWF and maybe im missing something but the pvp seems waaaaay better than the Unicorn set. Which i dont really mind cause it saves me the trouble however im just wondering if theres something im missing. also the Celestial Sword of Kings which costs 150 ardent coins seems worse than my PVP sword as well.
