All characters gone after maintenance

Just wondered if anyone else have experienced this?
Its really annoying I have a couple of free days now, so
if anyone here have a solution I would love the hear
about it.
Yesterday after the maintenance I was logging on as normal
using my email address, when i got into the game there
were no characters, first I thought this was just some
character server that was still down, so I waited a couple
of hours, however the characters were still not there.
So I tried a few more times, then I saw something strange,
the name that is in the top of the laucher had changed.
It was a name that I use to use in other games, so I went
through my mail and I saw that I had bought a game from PW
2009 with that name.
So when I created this nw account I used the same email
address that I used 2009 when I created another account.
So before the maintenace the Nw name was in the laucher
after I have logged in using my email, and after it
was the name of the account I created 2009.
There are a lot of thing that does not seem that
straight forward to me. When creating a NW account
I used email and displayname as input, so I did
not, or atleast not to my understading input an
Account Name.
When I select give me account name for this email address
I get the account name that i created 2009.
It seems like something is very messed up in some tables,
is it event possible to have 2 account names, I do not
think so, if so what happend to the account I created
for Nw.
tl:dr
I had an old account at PW with the same email address that I used
for nw, after 2 weeks of playing logging in using that
email it seems to select the old account.
I have sent a ticket.

If you want the game to stay for long and people like me to put in my money you need to fix issues regarding peoples accounts a lot faster, If I had put in lets say 200$ for the starter pack I would be really pissed if I could not even access my account.
So it seems like my account has 2 x handles one that has my characters and the other one that is selected now after the maintenace.
Also couldnt figure out why I couldnt login with my regular password kept coming back that my login or pass was incorrect.
Thought Id use some old passwords and voila I got logged in...but suddenly saw a username I havent used for 7 years.
I am however seeing the proper username here on the forums...what the heck!?
So when creating this neverwinter account I used the same mail I used 4 years ago, the account form did NOT complain that I was using an existing email.
So I played for a week then after the maintenance last thursday i was logging in. No characters anymore, the launcher says another name when I log in using my email, probably the name from the account created 4 years ago. When I select giveMeAccountName I get the old account name.
From what I understand I can login with AccountName or Email, I cannot login using the other name.
The problem must be inside the db tables somewhere, something is pointing to the old one instead of the new one after the maintenance.
I am pretty frustrated about this because I really like the game, but the support really need to help those with account problem faster.
You cannot expect people to trust you and put in their cash if everything is just gone when they login.
My ticked was created on thursday and my only response so far is an autoreply.
It is even more surprising that it could have happened in the first place. This should never happen in any account system.
It seems strange that the cash shop was active when the account creation process was not really tested.
A maintenance that causes this kind of regression is not something I expect from a company that has been in the
business for so long.

This is most likely due to an issue related to the emails associated with your account. If you haven't sent in a ticket yet, please do!
Alternatively, you can try changing your email address on your account page and see if that does the trick.
