How to open doors using keys ?

Hello
I'm trying to make a door that can be opened using a key.
Everything seems OK except when I use the key on the door, it stays closed and I have no way to open it.

Sorry if it sounds dumb, I started using the foundry tonight (Oh gosh it's 5am already !)

So here are 2 screenshots:
The door in question: http://www.send-picture.com/upload/door1.png
The story action: http://www.send-picture.com/upload/door2.png

Please help me as this is driving me crazy !
Thank you so very much in advance !

The player will always have to manually open the door, you cant open them automatically.

    1. Set the "Locked door to appear when dialog prompt reached / interact with fake door complete"
    2. Create a fake door slightly in front of the real door, set it for interact / dialogue using your key.
    3. Make the fake door disappear when interact complete / dialogue prompt reached.

Instead of using a Locked Door, use an Invisible Wall. Then you won't bug when one door collides with the other when being opened.

Also, using the Invisible Wall, you don't have to set the doors up to appear/disappear in sync with each other. You can just have it appear immediately, and set it to disappear when "This component complete."

    Hello,
There is no ''real door'', all I have is a fake door blocking a corridor.. Is that ok ?
Also, How can I make this fake door disapear when using a key? If you look into my screenshot, there is no visibility options...

    I'm completly lost !
    Thanks for the help

I tried using fake doors at first too. You're better off to use invisible walls just in front of a real door. Name the invisible wall "Locked Door" and put "Unlock Door" as the interact text. Under where it says "Disappear when" select "This component complete" and the invisible wall will disappear when you "Unlock" it, allowing you to open the door behind it. Under animation you should go to interact, then thievery normal, it will make your toon appear to be inserting a key or lockpick and unlocking the door when you interact with it. Oh, and don't forget to select the required item, which is in this case usually a key, though you could be creative and use other things as well. If you're still hung up on doorways not having actual doors, just right click on the doorway, and there is an option there somewhere to choose from a list of compatible doors, which is where you get the real doors.

    Alright,
I used an invisible wall and put a door at the exact same position, and made the door disapear when the wall is being used, requiring the key. It works and doesn't seem too weird, so I'll keep doing it for now.

    Thank you !!

It'd be cool if you could add a 'click' sound fx (not that it'll work right NOW, but hey)

I think one of the use animations has a sound like using a key. I know the animation of pounding on stuff with a hammer will play sound, as I heard it in a live Foundry mission.
