Dragon boss--- WTH!!

I tried with 2 different PuGs last night (I know, but sadly my friends are not up to mid 30s yet). Both times we were able to get through the dungeon, but the dragon really ****ed us up and we wiped multiple times.

Now I'm level 38 and that dungeon is not on my queue list. Great.

Can anyone give me some tips for killing this SOB and tell me where the actual dungeon is located so I can go there myself instead of through queue?

Anyways to answer your question, I forget what specific area its in, but all dungeons are essentially at the end of the zones. Just open your map, and keep moving forward through the zone, and you'll find the door.

Edit: helms hold, the physical entrance is in Helms Hold. Go to that zone, join a party planning on doing that run by going through the physical door, rather than queuing. It will be a better experience.

So even if you've outleveled a Dungeon you can go back in? I was unable to do so during the BWs so I thought it was a no.

Hey friend, You can skip the dungeons leveling up cause when u are level 60 you can play the same dungeons again only then the epic version! And then u will find groups also tho the dragon is one of the easier bosses.

You can basically solo the dragon with level 60.

Add control is the key to this encounter. The dragon itself is a puss and a guardian can probably stand in front of him all night long. The big problem is the adds, they have to be burned down as fast as possible before the Cleric gets killed. The way we did it (only had 4 people) was to have the tank on the dragon, then myself (TR) and the CW stuck like glue to the Cleric and mopped up all the adds as they got close. Occasionally one of us had to pull an add off the tank. When all adds were down, we would unleash on the dragon until the next adds spawned.

On 2 occasions, there will be additional adds which spawn (these are tougher mobs), which can be tricky, we just made sure we all had our dailies ready for when that happened.

You can still enter through the entrance if you outlevel a dungeon.

I agree, some of these end bosses from this dungeon on need to be tones down. They are way to hard. Also the wolf den is way to hard. I think they will lose some players over this. More so than if they leave it hard for the hardcores or lucky people that don't have to pug.

I finally got it done on my 10th pug.

ouch, seems like a heavy case of ltp, unfortunately.

If you think people will leave because content is too hard, you are sadly mistaken. Although I don't think more adds = more fun, but in general, this game is retardedly easy until you hit epic dungeons....

The Lair of of the Mad Dragon is in the middle of that Zone. The black dagger ruins I think it is called, but dont qoute me on that. That one that is a battle field when you first get there. when you leave the third campfire in the zone, head straight down the path and take the first right...it appears to go to a dead end, but the is an entrance down there to the lair.

Hve your tank take him to one side, everybody else in back, and kill the add as soon as they spawn and burn on the dragon in between add spawns. ......
