So I am wondering if it might be possible to add some form of invoking ability to the gateway? I don't think it would be fair of it gave all the benefits of logging in and doing it but if maybe you could do it once a day on the gateway and it only have you the coins and re-upped your timer for the 7 day coins. Unfortunately life is life and not always able to get to a real computer and log into game and losing the coins really sucks!

Or maybe this option is only available if you are at a campfire when you logged out... or maybe only if your at PE

I would be happy if they had an invoking gateway option even if it did nothing but re-upped the timer and the once per day coins. If not Im not sure how I will ever get my angelic pet hehe.
I think they want you to log in the game at least once a day. There comes a point where adding stuff to the gateway decreases player engagement instead of increasing it.
"Participation in PVP-related activities is so low on an hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly basis that we could in fact just completely take it out of STO and it would not impact the overall number of people [who] log in to the game and play in any significant way." -Gozer, Cryptic PvP Dev

The ardent coins don't evaporate. Only the celestial coins do.

I don't know if allowing invocation from the gateway would be a good idea. I have gone from lvl 38 to almost 40 strictly by invocation. I think you should have to log in.
If they DID allow invocation from the Gateway, it should cost a portable altar each time.

I wish they would remove the XP gained from invocation. Not a big deal, but for players that don't have time during the week to play, it's causing overleveling to occur when combined with professions

I doubt this will happen. Defeats the whole point of Invocation.

No, the whole point of invocation is to obtain coins.

While I personally would like it I don't think it's a good idea and should remain as it is.
I also agree that the XP portion should be removed. At 60 it's not a big deal (obviously) but when you're trying not to outlevel events getting 2,000+ from the first invoke of the day really sucks.

I wouldn't mind companion training on the portal either.

I like this. Say you go on vacation for a week or out of town for a month. You could stockpile some altars and invoke on each character once a day.
