Forums are typically form with different type of players such as the fanboys and the critics or the elite and the casual. Can we all just please take a moment and unite in the main problems this game has?

There's a lot of bug abusers out there that need punishment, there are people afk / botting in pvp matches as well as crazy party leaders kicking for no reason. There are big game breaking issues to be solved but all this flame wars are not helping at all to solve the problems.

Good idea, but it's the internet so the chances of that happening are pretty much zero.

I agree. Lets all wipe away our tears. Wipe the slate clean, and come together to wipe out these issues.

I have also noticed the afk'ers during pvp matches. Is there a way to filter the match so that those who do not fight do not get any glory either? That might stop a bit of it.

Here is my take. I don't think it its fair to complain about a Free Game like people are doing.

If it's not what you like, I get it, but to sit here and rip it apart and disparage it and ruin any possible chance for someone to come here and want to play well...It isn't right.

No matter how slighted you feel, how much your butt hurts about this issue and that issue bashing the game, bashing PWE and bashing criptic and nerd raging about how everything sucks IS NOT COOL!

ESPECIALLY SINCE THEY GAVE YOU A FREE GAME!!!

Again, it's cool if you don't like it. It's cool if it aint your cup of tea. But I gotta say, I think you are way outta line pissing and moaning and crapping all over it here on teh forums and on any other interwebs!

You spoiled rotten little ****'s. You should all be ashamed of yourselves!

You know during the pre alpha days when there was only a handful of us on the forums we had our disagreements sure, I mean Andre and I had some /popcorn worthy debates and yeah we got a bit testy with each other, but neither one of us crossed that line where we maliciously insulted the other, because when all was said and done we both knew each other just wanted cryptic to make a good game.

Now it's the wild west, some of the put downs are going way beyond internet banter and the mods have their hands full,I don't envy that responsibility, but I do think that Cryptic needs to sit down with the entire mod staff and work out a strategy, because this is quickly turning into the LoL forums.

It's so easy to make an alt account or ten and spend all your time stirring the drama pot and causing grief, maybe you shouldn't be allowed to use the forums until your level 25, or maybe forum (aside from technical forums) use should require a token that you purchase with AD or Zen, I don't pretend to have the answers but I do know that something other than locking threads and the occasional forum ban should be implemented, else we will see most of the actual community move off to a well regulated third party site leaving the official forums to the trolls.

@glannigan: You're right, the game is free (for most people). However, that does not mean that people cannot complain about the quality. You can argue that they have no right to demand anything since they're not paying for the product, but really, the free players are providing a service to the developers since without them the paid players would get bored =)
Extremism on both sides is a negative thing. Both people going into a ragefit and those answering everything with "It's free/it's beta" are going too far.

@stormdrag0n: Well, that's what happens when you allow everyone to join, you get the internet =)
There should definitely be a "special" section of the forum where people who demonstrated the ability to reason can discuss features and possible improvements. This will make it both easier for people who want to contribute with good ideas and for devs to see opinions.
Alternatively a crowd-banhammer for the forums...but we all know how that ends.

The majority of players playing this game DO pay, if you think it's free you are delusional.
Neverwinter Online Open Beta is an ongoing success

If that were true it would be a historic success. Generally the majority do not pay.
"Participation in PVP-related activities is so low on an hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly basis that we could in fact just completely take it out of STO and it would not impact the overall number of people [who] log in to the game and play in any significant way." -Gozer, Cryptic PvP Dev

The flame wars start when people who are fed up with the bugs and exploits make threads to complain only to get attacked by Defenders of the Zen Realm with screams of "Open Beta" "F2P" "Don't Play It" "Free Loader". So tell me how we can have a discussion when one side just says it doesn't matter how bad the game is I have no right to complain.

I prefer to look at it as criticism rather than complaint, and criticism is what every company needs to help them improve their product. Businesses want this kind of feedback; they don't want people to just quietly stop using their product.

Agreed. But there is complaining and then there is just down right venomous animosity.

You pay $60.00 on a game like Sim City and then have to endure the issues it had at launch. I completely understand. You want to vent and rage at EA for that debacle? I completely understand.

But this, this is different man.
