Make Respecs More Affordable

I messed up my build, oh no! But then I look into what it would take to fix it.

To fix the powers, it -requires- a respec token. But those can only be purchased for Zen.

$6.60 USD is too much to change your skill setup. I could buy Zen with AD, but even then that would require, at 365 per Zen, 240900 AD. For one respec.

There are some services such as purely cosmetic things that it's great to offer for a price, but essential gameplay elements like changing around your skills if you don't like them shouldn't require the player to bust out their credit card. It's a matter of philosophy, and I don't think I should have to work 8 hours for 10 days to get maximum AD just to change my skill and feat setup.

Please, make your gameplay economy based on a reasonable amount of work, not on cash. Please, make your AD prices considerate to players who aren't 'hard core' so that just respeccing feats doesn't take three weeks. Please, make it 'pay to be pretty,' not 'pay to win.'

Or, just offer a subscription option that lets you get around the nickel-and-diming that's so present in the game right now.

    ^ Agreed

I'm holding my reservations till I hit 60 but if I can't make AD through selling stuff in the AH I'll probably just stop and play only once in a while. This game is very obviously designed around forcing players to buy zen. Let's face it, 24k (theoretical) AD per day. Perhaps that is feasible for people with maxed out leadership. I'm still not sure even then. But 240k / respec = 10 days of solid AD farming. And that is AD that you can't spend elsewhere.

Also what happens when they change the skills on us so now there is a new FOTM. Do we get a free respec then? Not likely...

I hit reset my skills and just clicked through, I admit it was my fault, but that cost 150k AD. That is what I get for not reading it. Way too much.

you could get much more than 24k AD per day with few lucky finds during dungeon delves event however.

The fact you all are complaining about Zen(real money) on a "Free" to play game is humourous.

The Zen to AD isn't governed by the developers. The community set the price, so the people who sell their zen for AD are the ones who make it that much.

6USD for a respec is pretty in my opinion. After all the MMO's I have played, that is by far the cheapest respec I have seen.

"Affordable" is subjective. $6 is hugely affordable. Rerolling is even more affordable.
If it's that important to you then you will either buy the en, raise the AD to trade for zen or reroll the character.

So I guess the whole idea of respec is subjective, too.

Just a few reasons why the respec token should stay like this.

    - at lvl 60 you make alot more diamonds and it only costs close to 200k diamonds for a respec token now
    - you cant screw up your powers... Impossible. The amount of powerpoints you get allow you to buy and max out 90% of the powers possible
    - even if you pay a normal price, 6 dollar isnt that much for a once in a liferine
    - atm the game is simply.. Choose a role and direction and stick with that. It might change but atm people should see their choice as a longterm one.

However probably/perhaps once they release more Paragon paths (more information PW!! Come on!! We need this!) you will be able to reset everything anyway to adjust to the new options possible once.

Lower the price when players are clearly willing (albeit begrudgingly) to pay the current price?

...I wouldn't hold my breath waiting.
