Fix Search By Level Range in the AH!
There's so much junk in the AH and it's a royal pain to find anything.
Player economy is an important part of a good MMO. The UI for the AH needs to rock. The UI for the AH in this game is horrible. It rivals the GTN from SWTOR for worst AH UI of MMO history.
Even if you fix the bugs with it, it will still be terrible, but at least it will work and suck instead of not working and totally sucking.
Why does it suck?
- No reset function
- No ability to filter out auctions that are bid only (so for some searches you get back 400 items with no buyouts out of the thousands listed and no way to get to something you can actually buy because the other filters don't work)
- Sorting and reverse sorting by column don't work
- No preview capacity
- resizing the window leads to distortions and oddness
- Even the simplest of searches are a pain to execute
I'm sure this is a low priority since it's a feature that's helpful to players that doesn't tie in to the cash shop directly. And it looks like the player economy in NW is going to rival GW2 for absolute suck since it's not even 2 weeks in and the market is utterly flooded with gear to the point of it having no value unless it came from the cash shop.
But it would be nice to be able to search anyways. Sorting and filtering are basic programming tasks that have been around for decades. Why does this stuff not work?
So at the very least, could you fix filter by level? How hard can this be when almost all gear has a level on it?
Fixing sorting and reverse sorting by column, which was claimed to be fixed in a recent patch and still doesn't work would be bonus.
Extra credit for making an AH UI that rocks. There are plenty out there to use as models.
