How far into the negative does an auction have to go in order for it to no longer accept bids?

Some stop at 0, others seem to go on for a day. It may be connected with the amount of players bidding and the time between the last two bids.

I hope this is true, because if thats the case, no more sniping. Every bid adds 30 seconds to the timer, then sniping as we know it dies, and for that I would be thankful. Not that I buy and sell in the AH anyway.

Sniping is generally way too time-consuming for my taste anyway. I only buy stuff that has reasonable buyout price set; if there's none, I don't care. If someone bothers to wait for days to snipe something worth 100k diamonds for 10k, they're free to do so. I'll rather get what I need for higher price than spend hours trying to win a desperate fight.

Edit: For the record, I just spotted this on Dragon:

Working as intended, eh? Nope, can't be. There's no explanation that we could believe in for these negative timers.

I've got one of these too, now, with the game eating 500k of my diamonds in the process.

I am finding people using alts to intentional drive up the price post timer 0.

So in general Griefing at it's best and making people pay more for an item than should have been paid for with a working timer.

Maybe everyone should make a second account and Keep bidding up their own stuff post timer 0.. Maybe we will all be rich!

    Seriously Fix this shagrah!

Yup yup Griefing. like PWE care. it's just more zen people buy in a pinch to win that shiney toy just to be REOUTBID!
so of course they will let it stay as is.. it makes them money!

How do you even know people are doing that? Not like you can tell just by being in a bidding war with them.

Would be great to actually get a dev response on this. Makes it very hard to bid if you don't know how long your diamonds are getting tied up for.
